  • Beaux-Arts opulence that feels like a Parisian palace dropped onto the Caspian
  • The Jaleh Spa's Roman-style indoor pool with a glass atrium roof
  • Balconies that offer either medieval Old City views or sweeping Caspian Sea panoramas

Stutt samantekt: It’s the best hotel in the city by a mile, but you’ll pay New York prices for breakfast and might get a surprise visit from housekeeping if you don't bolt the door.

Farið yfir af @travelnlifewithroazI stayed here with my family and it was pure magic. The balcony view of the Caspian Sea and the Flame Towers at night is something I'll never forget. Waking up to room service with that backdrop made us feel like royalty. 10/10 would recommend for a splurge.

The hype

Universally praised as the 'best in Baku' for service and hardware, with a lobby that makes you feel like royalty.

Reality check

The privacy issue with housekeeping entering too quickly is a recurring specific complaint in an otherwise flawless service record.

  • You are an F1 fan who wants to watch the race from your private balcony
  • You appreciate a 'more is more' aesthetic with marble, chandeliers, and fresh flowers everywhere
  • You need a reliable, high-end base for business with flawless English-speaking staff

Hreinlæti og viðhald

9.7
  • Housekeeping: Aggressively thorough. Daily service + turndown. They will fold your clothes if you leave them out.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Immaculate marble. No grout issues found. Deep soaking tubs are spotless.
  • Maintenance: Pristine condition. This is the flagship property and it shows.
  • Linens & towels: Heavy, plush, high-thread-count Egyptian cotton. Replaced daily unless requested otherwise.
  • Odors & scents: Lobby smells of fresh flowers (lilies/roses). Rooms are neutral/fresh.

Gott að vita

  • The hotel is pet-friendly (up to 15 lbs) with no extra fee, a rarity in the region.
  • Airport transfer is steep (~200-240 AZN); Bolt or Uber is a fraction of the price and reliable.
  • The indoor pool requires a swim cap (often provided, but good to bring your own just in case).

Hvað á að pakka

  • A universal adapter (Type C/F plugs used in AZ)
  • Dressy casual clothes—Baku locals dress up for dinner, especially here
  • Swimsuit for the Roman-style pool (it's a highlight, don't skip it)

Herbergis-Genie

Bestu val

  • Premier Park-View Room (Corner) for dual views of the sea and the promenade
  • Old City View rooms for a quieter, more atmospheric scene of the medieval walls
  • Promenade-View rooms if you are specifically there for the F1 race

Herbergi til að forðast

  • Low-floor rooms facing Neftchilar Avenue if you are sensitive to traffic vibration
  • Rooms directly adjacent to the elevator bank (high foot traffic)

Herbergisbeiðna-Genie – afrita og líma

I would appreciate a room on a high floor (7th or 8th) facing the Old City for the quietest experience. Please ensure the room is not directly next to the elevator.

Algengar spurningar og falin ábendingar

Allt sem þú vilt vita áður en þú bókar.

Is the breakfast worth the $38 price tag?

It's lavish, with local honeycomb, caviar, and made-to-order eggs, but you can get a great local breakfast at 'Sehirli Tendir' in the Old City for a third of the price.

Can I walk to the Old City?

Yes, you are literally across the street. It takes 2 minutes to walk to the fortress walls.

Is the pool heated?

Yes, the indoor pool is heated and sits under a stunning glass atrium roof.

Do they serve alcohol?

Yes, Bentley's Bar is one of the best spots in the city for whiskey and cigars.

Is it noisy during the F1 race?

Extremely. The track runs right past the hotel. If you aren't there for the race, avoid those dates (usually September).

How is the internet speed?

Fast and reliable, suitable for video calls and streaming.

Innherja ábendingar

  • Skip the hotel fish restaurant for a local experience: go to 'Derya' in Bibiheybət (15 min drive) for fresh Caspian fish at local prices.

  • The 'Old City' view rooms are often cheaper than 'Sea View' but offer a much more interesting, magical view at night.

  • Use the underground passage to cross Neftchilar Avenue safely to get to the Boulevard—traffic is crazy.

5 hlutir sem þú ættir að vita áður en þú ferð

  • 💡The balconies feel slightly 'unattached' and airy, which can be vertigo-inducing for some.

  • 💡The hair dryers in the rooms are reportedly Dyson-level powerful, a favorite detail for long-haired guests.

  • 💡Housekeeping is fast but sometimes intrusive—privacy signs are a must here.

  • 💡The indoor pool area can be echoy and noisy due to the water circulation system.

  • 💡You can order a 'Pomidor Yumurta' (Azeri tomato scrambled eggs) off-menu at breakfast if it's not on the buffet.
