Reality check
The 'house reef' is largely dead coral; avid snorkelers feel let down unless they pay for boat excursions.
- You surf (or want to learn) without fighting crowds
- You have active kids who need a top-tier club (12 months to 12 years)
- You get bored easily and need 9 different restaurants and a game simulator

- Linens & towels: Crisp, high-thread-count, and plentiful. Beach towels are thick and fluffy.

Is the snorkeling really that bad?
It's not 'bad', it's just not 'Maldives good'. The house reef is bleached and quiet. You need to take a boat to the outer reef for the real show.
Can I surf if I'm a beginner?
Yes, the lagoon has gentle spots, but the main 'Vodi' break is a legit left-hander that can get heavy. There's a surf school on site.
Which island is better, Chill or Play?
Chill is for spa, overwater villas, and quiet dining. Play is for the kids club, surfing, and beach villas. Couples usually prefer Chill.
Is the underwater restaurant worth the money?
For the experience? Yes. For the food? It's good, but you're paying for the fish viewing. Go for the glow party or lunch to save cash.
Are there mosquitoes?
They fog twice daily, so it's manageable, but bring spray for dusk, especially if dining at Tribal (sand floor/jungle setting).
How much is food?
