The Benson Hotel And Faculty Club

$150-250 / nótt

Pantaðu þetta ef You're visiting the Anschutz Medical Campus and want a sanctuary that feels more like a wealthy professor's study than a hospital hotel.

Af hverju fólk elskar þetta

  • Incredible soundproofing that blocks out ambulance sirens completely
  • The 'Faculty Club' aesthetic—leather, wood, and curated Western art
  • The Common Good restaurant serves genuinely excellent farm-to-table comfort food

Stutt samantekt: A surprisingly high-end boutique hotel stranded in the middle of a massive medical complex.

Farið yfir af @vanessa.symoneI attended the grand opening and was blown away. The suite I toured had incredible sunset views over the campus. We ate amazing food at The Common Good and even made fanny packs on the lawn. It’s the perfect mix of professional and cozy—I’d definitely stay here again.

The hype

Universally praised for being an oasis of calm and cleanliness in a stressful area.

Reality check

You are paying for convenience to the hospital; don't expect a vacation vibe or walkable city attractions.

  • You have business or appointments at CU Anschutz/Children's Hospital
  • You appreciate 'dark academia' design over generic beige hotel rooms
  • Silence is your number one priority for sleep

Hreinlæti og viðhald

9.7
  • Housekeeping: Impeccable. Reviews consistently cite 'spotless' rooms and 'brand new' feel.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Hospital-grade clean. Grout is white, glass is streak-free. Zero mold reports found.
  • Maintenance: Everything works. The building is new (opened 2023) and feels it.
  • Linens & towels: Crisp, white, and high thread count. No signs of wear yet.
  • Odors & scents: Neutral and fresh. No masking scents, just clean air.

  • Faint sirens if windows are open (but they don't open much)

Áður en þú bókar

Gott að vita

  • The hotel is dog-friendly (limit 2) with a $75 fee
  • There is no room service, but you can order takeout from the restaurant downstairs
  • The 'Faculty Club' lounge is for members, but the lobby and bar are open to all guests

Hvað á að pakka

  • Workout gear for the Peloton bikes
  • A blazer or smart casual wear if you plan to mingle in the bar (it attracts a professional crowd)
  • Hydration packets—Colorado altitude is no joke

Herbergis-Genie

Bestu val

  • Mountain View King (higher floors) for sweeping views of the Rockies
  • Executive Fireplace Suites on the top floor for a true luxury apartment feel

Herbergi til að forðast

  • 2nd floor rooms facing the street if you are extremely sensitive to visual traffic
  • Standard rooms if you need a bathtub (some are shower-only)

Herbergisbeiðna-Genie – afrita og líma

I'd love a room on a high floor facing West for the mountain views. If possible, away from the elevator bank for maximum quiet.

Algengar spurningar og falin ábendingar

Allt sem þú vilt vita áður en þú bókar.

Is there a pool?

No. There is a fitness center, but no pool or hot tub.

How close is it to the hospital?

You are literally on the campus. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the main entrances of UCHealth and Children's Hospital.

Is parking free?

No. Valet is ~$39/night. Self-parking is available in a lot across the street for ~$20/night.

Can I walk to restaurants?

Barely. There's a pub and a Mexican spot across the street, but for real dining, you'll need to drive 10 minutes to Stanley Marketplace.

Is it safe?

Yes, the campus is patrolled and well-lit. The surrounding area of Aurora varies, but the hotel immediate vicinity is secure.

Does the hotel offer a shuttle?

No dedicated airport shuttle, but the Fitzsimons light rail station is a 10-minute walk.

Innherja ábendingar

  • The 'Juliet balconies' in most rooms are standing-room only and often locked for safety—don't expect to sit out there.

  • Ask for a 'Plains' theme room if you prefer lighter wood tones, or 'Campus' for a more studious, darker vibe.

  • The lobby art collection is actually curated and worth a self-guided tour.

5 hlutir sem þú ættir að vita áður en þú ferð

  • 💡The shower pressure is decent but the single-function heads are a bit basic for the price point.

  • 💡You might be sharing the elevator with surgeons in scrubs or patients in recovery.

  • 💡The 'Faculty Club' branding is strong, but you don't need to be faculty to stay here.

  • 💡Breakfast is not included and can be pricey ($15-$25 range).

  • 💡The blackout curtains are excellent—essential for day-sleepers (nurses/doctors).
