$1,000-1,800 / ليلة

احجز هذا إذا You want the newest, flashiest luxury hardware in Guanacaste and don't mind service that's still finding its footing.

لماذا يحبها الناس

  • Stunning tiered architecture that blends into the cliffside
  • 10 different pools, including a dedicated adults-only oasis and a kids' splash pad
  • Buena Nota Café serves some of the best coffee in the region

نظرة سريعة: A visually spectacular resort where the architecture outshines the service—expect 5-star views with 4-star execution until the staff settles in.

تمت المراجعة بواسطة @crbankstonI stayed in Room 243 and was blown away by the ocean views. The outdoor tub on the balcony was my favorite spot to unwind after a day exploring Guanacaste. It’s the perfect blend of eco-luxury and comfort.

The hype

Guests are blown away by the 'hard product' (rooms, pools, views) but frustrated by 'soft product' failures like slow service and cold food.

Reality check

The 'ocean view' rooms often look directly onto the roof or balcony of the room below you, making the 'private' outdoor tubs feel like a public exhibition.

  • You are a pool person—the 10-pool network is genuinely world-class
  • You travel with kids; the kids' club and splash areas are excellent
  • You want a brand-new room with modern tech and zero wear-and-tear

النظافة والصيانة

8.5
  • Housekeeping: Generally thorough daily service, but evening turndown and tray pickup can be sluggish.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Immaculate. Brand new grout, sparkling glass, and high-end fixtures.
  • Maintenance: Excellent condition (it's brand new), though some guests report minor tech glitches with lighting.
  • Linens & towels: Top-tier plushness. No wear and tear yet.
  • Odors & scents: Fresh ocean breeze, though one guest reported lingering food smells due to uncollected room service.

معلومات مهمة

  • Valet parking is complimentary, which is rare for this tier
  • The beach (Playa Penca) is public and shared with locals, offering a more authentic vibe than private resort beaches
  • Breakfast is often described as 'continental' and underwhelming for the price—don't expect a lavish Asian-style buffet

ما يجب حزمه

  • Duct tape (guests report motion-sensor lights in bathrooms can be finicky)
  • Rash guard/sun shirt (the sun is intense at the pools)
  • Binoculars (monkeys and birds are visible from the balconies)

جني الغرفة

أفضل الاختيارات

  • Buildings 1, 2, or 3 for easiest access to the beach and main pools
  • Top-floor suites for actual privacy (no one looking down on you)

الغرف المراد تجنبها

  • Ground floor 'Bahia View' rooms if you want privacy from foot traffic
  • Rooms near the main lobby if you want to avoid golf cart noise

جني طلب الغرفة – انسخ والصق

I would appreciate a room in Building 1 or 2 to be closer to the beach. Crucially, I am looking for a unit on the highest possible floor to ensure privacy on the balcony, as I understand the tiered layout can expose lower terraces.

الأسئلة الشائعة والنصائح المخفية

كل ما تحتاج حقًا معرفته قبل الحجز

Is there a resort fee?

Technically yes, a 'Daily Mandatory Charge' is listed, but it covers tangible perks like valet and kids' club. Some guests on points report it being waived.

Is the beach private?

No. By Costa Rican law, all beaches are public. Locals frequent Playa Penca, which adds local flavor but means it's not a private enclave.

How far is it from the airport?

A breezy 30-40 minute drive from Liberia (LIR). Much closer than properties further down the Nicoya Peninsula.

Is it adults-only?

No, it is very family-friendly with a kids' club and splash pad. However, there is a dedicated adults-only pool.

Can I walk to town?

No. You are in an isolated development. You need a car or taxi to get to Playas del Coco or Playa Hermosa (10-15 min drive).

How is the food?

Hit or miss. 'La Finca' is the upscale standout, but casual dining and room service receive mixed reviews for slow speed and average quality.

نصائح حصرية

  • The 'Buena Nota Café' offers a coffee roasting class that is surprisingly good and often overlooked.

  • Ask for a room in Building 1 if you want to minimize the uphill walk/golf cart ride to the beach.

  • Room service has been known to stop unexpectedly on holidays—always have a backup dinner plan.

5 أشياء يجب معرفتها قبل الذهاب

  • 💡The 'ocean view' often includes a view of the gray concrete roof of the unit below you.

  • 💡You might see your neighbor taking a bath on their balcony due to the glass railings and angles.

  • 💡The motion sensor lights in the bathroom can turn off while you're in the shower—wave your arms!

  • 💡Room service trays can sit in hallways for 12+ hours due to staffing shortages.

  • 💡The 'continental breakfast' included for elites is very basic (fruit/pastry) compared to other Waldorfs.
