Thinking of a weekend break in Cambridge or a quick business trip to the university city, you can't really go wrong with the Clayton Hotel. I've stayed here numerous times and I've always been really happy with it. Located next to the railway station, super convenient. Although not strictly speaking right in the center, but that's not a problem. Cambridge is super small, so everything's a short walk away. Very large, comfortable rooms with all of the amenities that you could possibly desire. Excellent breakfast and fantastic bar area to unwind in. The staff are on the ball and I would describe them as excellent. Friendly and attentive every time. Only downside, it's not slap bang in the middle of the heart of Cambridge.
