Reality check
The African animals are about 280m away in the distance, so you'll need the provided binoculars to actually see them.
- You are a family needing multiple bedrooms and bathrooms

- Bathroom hygiene: Pristine. Guests rave about the fabulous showers, clean bathtubs, and sparkling surfaces.
- Maintenance: Generally very good, though some guests noted the single mattresses in the second bedroom are pilling and need replacing.
- Linens & towels: Lush bedding in the main room and thick, fluffy towels provided.

Do the cabins have a pool?
No, the Savannah Cabins do not have a pool. You'll need to head into the zoo's 'Waterhole' area for the kids' water play.
Can I walk to the zoo from the cabins?
Technically yes, but it's 3km to the entrance, so driving is highly recommended.
Are the cabins serviced daily?
Yes, despite being self-contained with full kitchens, they receive daily housekeeping.
Do I get free zoo entry?
You can book a package that includes a 2-day zoo entry pass, but room-only rates exist, so check your booking carefully.
Is there a restaurant on-site?
Not at the cabins themselves. You can pre-order hampers to cook on your BBQ, or drive 10-15 minutes into Dubbo.
Can I see the animals from my room?
You can see wild kangaroos up close on the lawn, but the African animals (like giraffes) are about 280m away across a paddock.
