  • Two full bathrooms and a kitchen make family logistics a breeze
  • Wild kangaroos grazing right outside the cabin at dusk
  • Kids' playground located right in front of the cabins

Kurzfassung: You're paying for proximity to the zoo, but you're still 3km from the main entrance and construction fencing currently blocks the direct savannah view.

Bewertet von @postcardsfrom_abroadMy stay at the Zoofari Lodge was incredible. Waking up in a luxury tent to see giraffes and rhinos from my bed was a dream. The exclusive animal tours made it feel so special. Highly recommend for a unique getaway!

Hi team, we're so excited for our stay. If possible, could we request a cabin set further back from the current Serengeti Resort construction fencing for the most unobstructed view possible? Thank you!

FAQ & Geheimtipps

Alles, was Sie vor der Buchung wirklich wissen möchten.

Do the cabins have a pool?

No, the Savannah Cabins do not have a pool. You'll need to head into the zoo's 'Waterhole' area for the kids' water play.

Can I walk to the zoo from the cabins?

Technically yes, but it's 3km to the entrance, so driving is highly recommended.

Are the cabins serviced daily?

Yes, despite being self-contained with full kitchens, they receive daily housekeeping.

Do I get free zoo entry?

You can book a package that includes a 2-day zoo entry pass, but room-only rates exist, so check your booking carefully.

Is there a restaurant on-site?

Not at the cabins themselves. You can pre-order hampers to cook on your BBQ, or drive 10-15 minutes into Dubbo.

Can I see the animals from my room?

You can see wild kangaroos up close on the lawn, but the African animals (like giraffes) are about 280m away across a paddock.

Insider-Tipps

  • Order the BBQ hamper in advance so you don't have to drive back into Dubbo for groceries after a long day of walking.

  • Rent an electric cart or bikes at the zoo early—the 5km circuit is exhausting on foot, especially in the summer heat.

  • Take advantage of the 10% discount at Bakhita's Cafe and the Zoo Shop that comes with your stay.

5 Dinge, die Sie wissen sollten, bevor Sie losfahren

  • 💡The complimentary toiletries are surprisingly high quality and the towels are thick and fluffy.

  • 💡Wild kangaroos roam the cabin grounds at dusk—drive very carefully on the access roads.

  • 💡The stargazing from your private deck is phenomenal due to the lack of light pollution.

  • 💡The oven instructions in the cabin often don't match the actual appliance.

  • 💡You won't see any zoo staff at the cabins after you check in; it's a very independent experience.
