Miért szeretik az emberek

8.6398 értékelések
  • Floor-to-ceiling windows with insane views of the Elbe River and industrial harbor
  • Direct elevator access to the Elbphilharmonie concert halls (skip the public queue)
  • The 'Heavenly Beds' live up to the hype—massive and cloud-like

Gyors áttekintés: It’s a stunning glass fortress that feels more like a high-end airport terminal than a cozy hotel, but the views are worth the sterility.

Értékelte @GirlyyjStaying inside the Elbphilharmonie was surreal. My room felt like a glass box floating over the harbor—especially at sunset. The open bathroom layout is super sexy, and the bed was pure heaven. Definitely request a high floor for the best views!

The hype

Guests are blown away by the architecture and views but often underwhelmed by the service speed and 'cold' atmosphere.

Reality check

The pool temperature is a constant battleground—many guests find the 25°C (77°F) water too cold for relaxing, despite it being advertised as 'heated'.

  • You have tickets to a concert at the Elbphilharmonie
  • You are an architecture geek who wants to stare at curved glass and steel
  • You find industrial harbor views (cranes, containers, ships) romantic

Tisztaság és karbantartás

8.5
  • Housekeeping: Generally thorough, but reports of missed dust in hard-to-reach corners and under beds.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Sparkling surfaces, though some guests noted worn floor tiles or grout issues in older reviews.
  • Maintenance: Modern and solid, but some 'tired' spots in hallways and scuffed paint are appearing after 7+ years.
  • Linens & towels: Crisp, high-quality Westin standard linens. No complaints here.
  • Odors & scents: Signature 'White Tea' scent in the lobby; rooms are neutral and fresh.

  • Ship horns (rare but loud)
  • Internal atrium noise (for Classic rooms only)

Foglalás előtt

Jó tudni

  • You don't need a Plaza ticket; show your room key at the hotel entrance to skip the public line.
  • Breakfast is expensive (~€37) and can get crowded; consider walking to a nearby bakery if you're not a big eater.
  • The area (HafenCity) is windy—pack layers even in summer.

Mit csomagoljak be

  • Binoculars (for watching the container ships and harbor activity)
  • Windbreaker/Scarf (the Plaza deck is incredibly windy)
  • Swim cap (mandatory for the pool? No, but serious swimmers use it here)

Szobagenie

Legjobb szobák

  • Premium Waterfront Room (floors 15+ for unobstructed river views)
  • Panorama Suite (corner views of both city and harbor)

Kerülendő szobák

  • Classic Atrium Rooms (internal view, dark, zero privacy)
  • Rooms near the elevators (long hallways mean a trek, but close rooms get foot traffic noise)

Szobakérés Genie – másolás és beillesztés

I am requesting a 'Premium Waterfront' room on the highest possible floor. Please ensure I am NOT assigned an Atrium-facing room, as natural light and the river view are the main reasons for my stay.

GYIK és rejtett tippek

Minden, amit tényleg tudni szeretnél a foglalás előtt.

Is the pool actually warm?

Barely. It's kept around 25°C (77°F), which is fine for laps but feels chilly for lounging. Do not expect a hot bath.

Can I hear the concerts from my room?

No. The concert halls are acoustically isolated floating structures. You won't hear the music, nor will the music hear you.

Is it worth paying for the river view?

100% yes. The 'City View' is fine, but the 'Waterfront' view of the working harbor is unique to this hotel. The 'Atrium' view is a waste of money.

How do I get to the lobby?

Enter via the dedicated hotel entrance (left of the main tube), take the elevator to the 8th floor. Do not take the long public escalator with luggage.

Is there parking?

Yes, in the building's garage, but it's public and costs ~€35/day. It fills up during concert times.

Is it pet friendly?

Yes, dogs are welcome for a €40 fee, but the immediate area is mostly concrete—not great for potty breaks.

Insider tippek

  • Use the hotel's private elevator to access the Plaza (viewing deck) late at night when the public is gone for a private view.

  • The 'Blick Bar' on the 8th floor has the same view as the expensive rooms—grab a drink there if you booked a cheaper room.

  • Walk 15 minutes to 'Brücke 10' for the best fish sandwich (fischbrötchen) in town; skip the hotel food for lunch.

5 dolog, amit tudnod kell az utazás előtt

  • 💡The bathroom doors in some rooms open awkwardly into the standing space, trapping you near the sink.

  • 💡The 'Tube' (giant escalator) is fun once, but annoying when you just want to get outside.

  • 💡You can watch the ships pass from your bed, but the windows are tinted so photos can look weird.

  • 💡Room service can be surprisingly slow due to the complex elevator logistics of the building.

  • 💡The 'Owner's Suite' is the only room with a balcony, but it's often too windy to use it.
