Petra is a 3-hour drive south. It's a day trip, but a long one. Most people stay overnight in Wadi Musa.
Does the hotel serve alcohol?
Yes, there are multiple bars including the Luna Bar, 962 Bar, and the bowling alley bar.

Depends on your rate. If not, the buffet costs around 10-15 JOD (~$14-21 USD), which is reasonable for this tier.
