The 'oceanfront' claim often disappoints due to the rocky shoreline and lack of usable balconies in many room categories.

- You are a strong swimmer who doesn't mind walking 5 mins to Sandy Lane for a real beach

Basically. There is a man-made sandy deck above a sea wall. To swim, you use steps into rocky water or walk 5 minutes south to Sandy Lane Beach.

It's hit or miss. The main buffet (Sunset) is often described as 'cafeteria quality,' but Enid's (Bajan a la carte) gets high marks for flavor.
Are the drinks actually included?
Yes, and they are strong. The 'Rum Shop' bar is a highlight, and they don't water down the cocktails.
Is it a party hotel?
It's social but not a spring break wild house. Think 'boozy 50th birthday trip' rather than 'college rave'.
Do I need to tip?
Technically gratuities are included, but staff are noticeably more attentive if you tip a few dollars, especially at the bar.
