Rixos Premium Dubai JBR

Book this if You want to be the main character in a Dubai lifestyle vlog—party at night, recover by the pool, and never leave the JBR bubble.

Why People Love It

9.21688 reviews
  • Direct access to Azure Beach Club (a 'see and be seen' hotspot)
  • Killer views of the Ain Dubai Ferris wheel from floor-to-ceiling windows
  • Nightlife is built-in: STK and Lock, Stock & Barrel are literally downstairs

Quick Take: A glitzy, high-energy glass tower that functions more like a vertical nightclub than a place to sleep.

Reviewed by @thezaisersI’m still dreaming about this trip! We booked a corner suite at Rixos Premium JBR and the views of Ain Dubai were insane. The breakfast in bed was massive, and having the beach right downstairs made everything so easy. Definitely the most romantic spot we’ve stayed in Dubai.

Guest Who Stayed Here Said

The hype

Travelers love the 'Crystal Tower' architecture and the housekeeping (shoutout to Tanya), but the bass from the pool and neighbors is a constant companion.

Reality check

You will hear the party whether you're at it or not—soundproofing struggles against the JBR beach club beats.

  • You pack more swimwear and evening wear than pajamas
  • You want to stumble from a steak dinner at STK directly into an elevator
  • You thrive on high-energy environments and don't mind a crowded pool deck

Cleanliness & Maintenance

9.2
  • Housekeeping: Stellar. Reviews consistently praise specific staff (like Tanya) for thorough daily refreshing.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Sparkling. Deep soaking tubs and glass showers are kept scale-free and polished.
  • Maintenance: High standard. The 'Crystal Tower' is well-maintained, though the elevators see heavy wear and tear.
  • Linens & towels: Premium quality, crisp and fresh. No complaints of worn fabric despite high turnover.
  • Odors & scents: Lobby smells of expensive signature fragrance; rooms are generally fresh, though hallway smoke can drift from clubs.

  • Five Luxe hotel outdoor events (next door)
  • Azure Beach Club music (daytime & evening)
  • Internal hallway noise from late-night revelers

Before you book

Good to know

  • A hefty security deposit (approx. AED 500/night) is taken at check-in and can take weeks to refund.
  • Traffic in JBR is gridlock city; allow 45+ minutes to get to/from the airport even if it looks close.
  • Valet parking is free for guests, which is a huge perk in this parking-scarce neighborhood.

What to pack

  • High-fidelity earplugs (Loop or similar) for sleeping
  • Designer swimwear (the pool scene is a fashion show)
  • A physical ID card for every guest (digital copies often rejected by security)

Room Genie

Best picks

  • Premium Room with Sea View (high floor) for the iconic Ain Dubai view
  • Corner Suites for dual-aspect views of the Palm and Marina

Rooms to avoid

  • Rooms facing the Five Luxe hotel (South side) due to extreme noise
  • Lower floors (under 15) facing the pool deck if you want daytime peace

Room Request Genie – copy & paste

I am requesting a high-floor Premium Room (25th floor or higher) specifically facing AWAY from the Five Luxe hotel to minimize bass vibration. Ain Dubai view preferred.

FAQ & Hidden tips

Everything you actually want to know before you book.

Is the pool heated?

Yes, the main pool is temperature-controlled, making it swimmable even during the cooler winter months.

Can I bring guests to my room?

Strictly no. Only registered guests with passports/IDs scanned at check-in are allowed past the security checkpoint.

Is it all-inclusive?

No, it's typically room-only or bed & breakfast. Half-board packages exist but usually only cover the buffet, not the high-end venues like STK.

How bad is the traffic?

Horrific. The JBR loop is a notorious bottleneck. Use the Dubai Tram (station nearby) or walk if you can.

Is there a resort fee?

There is a 'Tourism Dirham' fee of AED 20 per bedroom per night, payable at the hotel, plus a refundable deposit.

Is it kid-friendly?

Technically yes (kids pool, Rixy club), but the vibe is overwhelmingly adult/party. Not the best pick for a wholesome family vacay.

Insider Tips

  • The 'Natureland Spa' has an authentic Ottoman Hammam that is surprisingly serene compared to the rest of the hotel.

  • Skip the hotel breakfast line and walk 5 mins to 'Common Grounds' or '% Arabica' for better coffee and vibes.

  • If you're driving, call for your car 20 minutes before you actually need it; the valet queue gets chaotic.

5 things to know before you go

  • 💡The lobby houses luxury retail stores (Rodeo Drive, Via Rodeo), making it feel like a mini-mall.

  • 💡The elevators are smart-controlled but struggle to handle the volume of club-goers on weekends.

  • 💡The 'City View' rooms actually offer a stunning glittering skyline view at night, often quieter than the 'Sea View'.

  • 💡You get free tickets to Aquaventure Waterpark if you book a stay of 3+ nights (verify current offer at check-in).

  • 💡The blackout curtains are excellent, but they can't block the bass vibrations from the beach clubs.
