Videotour af @TheWonderingEnglishmanI stayed here to escape the central London madness. While it's not right in the center, having the Overground station directly opposite made getting around easy. The room size was a massive upgrade compared to what you usually get in the city. Solid 7.5/10 stay.

Are you looking for a London hotel away from the usual frenzy? Well, allow me to introduce the DoubleTree by Hilton at Imperial Wharf. It's admittedly a touch removed from the very center, no underground station on the doorstep. Yet you're perched in Chelsea itself with reasonably pleasant riverside aspects a block away. The real convenience is Imperial Wharf Overground station directly opposite this hotel. Swift connections via Clapham Junction and notably straightforward access to London's Heathrow Airport. Ideal for shorter visits or those early flights. The rooms, actually they truly impress. Generously proportioned, recently refreshed, and finished to a high standard throughout. The bathroom is perfectly agreeable with a decent shower. Now the breakfast, they offer a respectable spread. No complaints from this Englishman when it came to the English breakfast. More than adequate without being extravagant. For me, the slightly detached location is the only minor drawback, but the spacious accommodation more than compensates. I'd rate this hotel as seven and a half out of ten. If comfort and room size matter more than being in the absolute center, it's definitely well worth considering. Would you choose this for your London stay or do you prefer being right in the heart of things? I'd love to hear your thoughts below.
