  • Historic 'Peacock Alley' where Winston Churchill and Frank Sinatra once walked
  • Thomas Keller's Michelin-starred restaurant is literally downstairs
  • Richard Meier's glass towers make every room feel like a floating cloud

Stutt samantekt: It’s ruinously expensive, but for once, the 'old money' aesthetic actually feels authentic rather than staged.

Farið yfir af @mllejolainI was blown away by the quiet elegance here. My residential suite felt like a private home with full Four Seasons service. Sipping a custom cocktail by the pool while soaking in that historic Surf Club glamour was the highlight of my trip.

The hype

Impeccable service and stunning design, but the price tag makes you weep.

Reality check

You might feel 'poor' here even if you're wealthy; the clientele is next-level elite.

  • You value privacy and silence over a party scene
  • You appreciate architecture (Richard Meier) and history (1930s social club)
  • You want a kids' club that actually feels like a luxury camp

Hreinlæti og viðhald

9.8
  • Housekeeping: Flawless. Guests report 'invisible' service where the room is magically perfect every time you return.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Sparkling. Marble is polished to a mirror finish; no grout issues reported.
  • Maintenance: Like new. The Richard Meier buildings are maintained with obsession.
  • Linens & towels: Plush, heavy, and crisp. Egyptian cotton sheets that feel brand new.
  • Odors & scents: Signature Four Seasons scent (white tea/thyme) in lobby; rooms smell neutral and fresh.

Gott að vita

  • The hotel has a house car (often a Lucid EV) for short trips within Surfside/Bal Harbour.
  • Reservations for The Surf Club Restaurant (Thomas Keller) should be made weeks in advance.
  • The beach service is full-on: they set up loungers, umbrellas, and bring food/drinks to you.

Hvað á að pakka

  • Designer swimwear (the pool scene is a fashion show)
  • Dinner jacket/cocktail attire (The Champagne Bar is dressy)
  • A high-limit credit card for the incidental hold

Herbergis-Genie

Bestu val

  • Oceanfront Room (floors 5-12) for unobstructed Atlantic views
  • Ocean Bungalows for a unique 'cabana row' experience with direct beach access

Herbergi til að forðast

  • City View Rooms on lower floors (views of Collins Ave traffic)
  • Rooms near the elevator bank if you are extremely light sleeper

Herbergisbeiðna-Genie – afrita og líma

I would appreciate a high-floor Oceanfront room, ideally away from the elevators. If an Ocean Bungalow is available for an upgrade, we would love to experience the historic cabana feel.

Algengar spurningar og falin ábendingar

Allt sem þú vilt vita áður en þú bókar.

Is it kid-friendly?

Surprisingly, yes. The 'Kids for All Seasons' club is excellent and free, and there's a dedicated family pool.

How far is South Beach?

About a 20-30 minute Uber ride, depending on traffic. You are in Surfside, which is much quieter.

Is the beach private?

Technically public (all Florida beaches are), but the hotel has a dedicated, serviced section that feels very private.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, small pets under 15 lbs are welcome.

Is there a resort fee?

Yes, approximately $55.50 per night, which covers beach service, bikes, and gym access.

What is the check-in/out time?

Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 12:00 PM.

Innherja ábendingar

  • Ask the concierge about the 'house car'—it's often free for drops within a few miles (like Bal Harbour Shops).

  • The 'Picnic' service on the beach is a hidden menu item; ask the pool attendants to set it up.

  • Walk north on the beach path for 10 minutes to reach the quieter, residential stretch of Surfside beach.

5 hlutir sem þú ættir að vita áður en þú ferð

  • 💡Winston Churchill used to paint in the cabanas here during the 1940s.

  • 💡The 'Peacock Alley' hallway is original from 1930 and has seen everyone from Elizabeth Taylor to the Shah of Iran.

  • 💡The 'City View' rooms actually have a nice sunset view over the bay, despite the traffic noise risk.

  • 💡There is a hidden tunnel (service corridor) that staff use to move magically fast.

  • 💡The Champagne Bar has the largest selection of champagne in Miami, including rare vintages you can't find elsewhere.
