Hasan Zawaideh Luxury Camp 2

I-book ito kung You want the viral 'Martian Dome' experience without the hassle of a 4x4 transfer deep into the desert.

Bakit Ito Minamahal ng Mga Tao

8.9153 review
  • Instagram-famous Martian Domes with panoramic desert views
  • Accessible by standard rental car (no transfer needed)
  • Traditional Zarb dinner (underground BBQ) is a nightly highlight

Mabilis na Sumisid: It’s a 'glamping' hotel near the village, not a remote wilderness expedition—expect tour buses and visible electric lines, not total isolation.

Sinuri ng @MarinaCruz4154241I stayed in this Martian dome and waking up to that endless red sand was surreal. The bed was super comfy, but the view from the terrace is what I still dream about. It felt like being on another planet.

The hype

The domes look exactly like the photos and the food is plentiful, but the vibe can feel more like a busy resort than a quiet Bedouin retreat.

Reality check

The 'luxury' label applies to the hardware (domes), not the software (service)—don't expect 5-star hotel attention.

  • You are driving your own rental car and want easy access
  • You prioritize AC and en-suite bathrooms over authentic roughing it
  • You want that specific sci-fi movie photo for your feed

Kalinisan & Pagpapanatili

8
  • Housekeeping: Generally decent, but recent reports of missed towels and delayed service.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Mostly clean, though occasional complaints about 'pee marks' or sand in corners.
  • Maintenance: Newer domes are good; older tents show wear. Watch for leaking AC units.
  • Linens & towels: Sheets are clean but can feel worn; towels sometimes missing on arrival.
  • Odors & scents: Neutral to dusty; no strong chemical smells, but occasional septic whiffs near the back.

  • Loud music from the communal dinner tent until late evening
  • Vehicle noise from the nearby parking lot and road
  • Wind flapping against standard tent canvas (less of an issue in Domes)

Magandang Malaman

  • No alcohol is sold on-site (it's a dry camp), but discreet private consumption is usually tolerated.
  • Dinner is often an extra charge (~20 JOD) if not included in your rate—confirm at check-in.
  • WiFi exists but is spotty; download maps and movies before you arrive.

Ano ang dapat dalhin

  • Earplugs (essential if you sleep early)
  • Power bank (electricity is 24/7 but outlets can be awkwardly placed)
  • Layers (desert temps drop 20+ degrees at night)

Genie ng Kuwarto

Mga Pinakamahusay na Pilihan

  • Front-row Martian Domes (facing the open wadi, away from the camp entrance)
  • Standard Tents furthest from the large communal dining hall for better quiet

Mga Kuwartong Dapat Iwasan

  • Tents near the parking lot (headlights and engine noise)
  • Domes directly next to the dining tent (music and foot traffic noise)

Room Request Genie – kopyahin at i-paste

I am booking a stay and kindly request a Martian Dome in the 'front row,' facing the open desert and as far as possible from the parking lot and dining hall. We are seeking a quiet experience away from the evening music.

FAQ & Mga Nakatagong Tip

Lahat ng kailangan mong malaman bago ka magbook.

Do I need a 4x4 to get there?

No. Unlike deep desert camps, this one is accessible by any standard rental car via a paved/hard-packed road.

Is there air conditioning?

Yes, both Martian Domes and Deluxe Tents have AC units, though they can struggle against the midday sun in the glass domes.

Is alcohol served?

No. It is a dry camp. You won't find a bar, but you can bring your own if you are discreet.

How much are the jeep tours?

Expect to pay around 35 JOD ($50 USD) for a standard 2-hour tour booked through the camp. Longer tours cost more.

Is it private?

Not entirely. The domes are close together, and because they are clear, you need to close the curtains for privacy, which blocks the view.

Is there a pool?

No. There is no swimming pool on the property.

Mga Insider Tips

  • Walk 10 minutes away from the camp lights at night for vastly better stargazing.

  • The 'free' tea in the communal tent is available all day—great for a mid-afternoon break.

  • Breakfast can get chaotic when tour buses leave; go early (7:00 AM) for fresh food and peace.

5 bagay na dapat mong malaman bago ka umalis

  • 💡The 'Martian' view often includes the camp next door—you aren't alone on Mars.

  • 💡The bathroom in the dome is a pod *inside* the room, so it offers limited acoustic privacy.

  • 💡You might see a coach bus parked right outside your 'Bedouin' experience.

  • 💡The glass domes get dirty quickly from sandstorms; don't expect crystal-clear windows every day.

  • 💡Hot water is reliable, which is a rare luxury in Wadi Rum.
