No. You are in a gated compound in Costa Mujeres. The nearest 'local' life is a 20-minute taxi ride away.
Is the beach swimmable?
Yes, excellent. Isla Mujeres blocks the heavy waves and sargassum, making it calmer and cleaner than the Hotel Zone.
Are the Riu Parties at this hotel?
Small parties happen here, but the massive themed 'Riu Party' events usually take place at the Riu Dunamar/Caribe complex nearby (shuttle provided).
