Kāpēc cilvēki to mīl

8.6315 atsauksmes
  • Adults-only exclusivity that actually feels sophisticated, not just a spring break party
  • Preferred Club rooftop pool (12th floor) offers the best views in the Hotel Zone
  • Nebbiolo Ristorante serves Italian food that actually tastes like it's from Italy, not a can

Ātrs apskats: It's a vertical city hotel plonked on a beach, so expect elevator waits and hallway noise rather than a sprawling jungle retreat.

Pārskatīts: @trendytravelerI was blown away by the views here—seeing the ocean AND the lagoon from my balcony was unreal. The daily wine tastings were such a classy touch, and upgrading to the Preferred Club for that rooftop pool was 100% worth it. Perfect for a romantic escape.

The hype

Travelers love the modern rooms and the wine theme, but hate the 'chair hogging' game at the pool that starts at 6 AM.

Reality check

The 'Unlimited-Luxury' claim has cracks—room service takes an hour, and the best wine tastings cost extra ($20+).

  • You prefer a modern, air-conditioned high-rise over a humid, open-air thatched roof resort
  • You are a wine drinker who appreciates a decent Cabernet over a sugary slushy
  • You want a gym with a view that actually motivates you to work out

Tīrība un apkope

8.5
  • Housekeeping: Reliable daily service, though evening turndown can be hit-or-miss. Some reports of sand left in corners.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Generally excellent. Glass-walled showers are trendy but can show water spots if not squeegeed well.
  • Maintenance: Good condition for a 2012 build, though some wear on carpets in hallways and occasional AC leaks reported.
  • Linens & towels: Crisp and white, but pool towels can run out by 2 PM on busy days.
  • Odors & scents: Lobby has a signature 'fresh' scent that tries to mask the intermittent outdoor sewage smell. Rooms usually smell neutral/clean.

  • Hallway noise from other guests (heavy doors slamming)
  • Thumping bass from the neighboring Hard Rock Hotel pool parties (afternoons)
  • Connecting room doors are paper-thin

Pirms grāmatošanas

Noderīgi zināt

  • The 'Preferred Club' upgrade is actually worth it here for the exclusive 12th-floor pool and Olio restaurant access.
  • Men must wear long pants for dinner at most à la carte restaurants—pack accordingly or be stuck at the buffet.
  • The hotel is in the Hotel Zone (Km 14.5), so you are a short bus/taxi ride from malls but not walking distance to a town center.

Ko ņemt līdzi

  • Long trousers for men (strictly enforced at dinner)
  • Insulated cup (Yeti/Stanley) to keep drinks cold at the pool
  • Small bills ($1s and $5s) for tips—service is noticeably faster if you tip

Istabu asistents

Labākie ieteikumi

  • Preferred Club Junior Suite Ocean View (Floors 21-28) for guaranteed unobstructed views and butler service
  • Corner suites for a wrap-around balcony and less neighbor noise

Istabas, kurām labāk izvairīties

  • Floors 1-8 (views blocked by neighbors)
  • Rooms ending in '01' or near elevators (high traffic noise)
  • Connecting rooms if you aren't booking both sides (sound leakage is bad)

Istabu pieprasījuma asistents – kopējiet un ielīmējiet

I am requesting a room on Floor 15 or higher, strictly AWAY from the elevators and NOT a connecting room. We are light sleepers and would appreciate a quiet location away from the Hard Rock side if possible.

BUJ un paslēptie paņēmieni

Viss, kas jums patiešām jāzina pirms grāmatošanas.

Is the Preferred Club worth the extra cost?

Yes. The main pools get crowded and loud. The Preferred Club pool on the 12th floor is a sanctuary, and Olio restaurant is excellent for lunch.

Is there a swim-up bar?

No. This is a rare omission for a Cancun all-inclusive. Waiters will bring drinks to your lounger, but you can't drink in the water.

How is the beach?

Stunning white sand and turquoise water, but often rough with strong undertows (red flags common). Sargassum is an issue May-August.

Can I eat at the restaurants without a reservation?

Yes, no reservations required for standard dining. However, expect a 30-45 minute wait at prime times (7:00-8:30 PM) for Bluewater Grill.

Is the hotel truly quiet?

Not really. It's 'lively adult' rather than 'zen quiet'. The pool area has DJ music, and the Hard Rock next door bleeds noise over the fence.

Does the hotel smell like sewage?

Unfortunately, yes, intermittently. A swampy/sewage odor is frequently reported in the lobby and driveway area, likely due to local mangrove/drainage issues.

Insider padomi

  • The daily wine tasting at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM is free, but the 5:00 PM session costs ~$20. Go early.

  • There is a 'Chef's Table' experience inside the kitchen that few know about—it costs extra but is a foodie highlight.

  • If the spa prices scare you ($200+), walk across the street to the small strip mall for a legit massage at 1/4 of the price.

5 lietas, kas jāzina pirms doties

  • 💡The 'Ocean View' on low floors is actually a 'Wall of the Neighboring Hotel' view.

  • 💡Room service food is notoriously lukewarm and takes 60-90 minutes at peak times.

  • 💡The elevators can be a nightmare—slow and hot during check-out times (11 AM - 1 PM).

  • 💡You can order a 'secret' off-menu spicy margarita if you ask the right bartender at the lobby bar.

  • 💡The gym has better views than some of the guest rooms—floor-to-ceiling ocean panoramas.
