We're a small team with a big obsession: travel. We're building the platform where creators earn from their content and travellers trust what they book.

Gon Ben David

Founder & CEO

Day-to-day: Gon's role involves a high level of cross-functional leadership, where he manages everything from the board of directors and investors to the finance, support, and legal teams. Despite these executive responsibilities, his primary passion remains deeply rooted in the technology itself. He has made it his life's mission to empower travel creators by building the infrastructure they need to turn their passion into a sustainable livelihood. To achieve this, he stays heavily involved in building the product and overseeing the team to ensure the platform serves as a complete operating system for creators.
Experience: Gon has been building websites since he was 13 years old and holds a background in computer science, entrepreneurship, and interactive media. Before founding Roomer, he built a company for selling bus tickets in South America, later founding Roomer as a student after experiencing the frustration of a cancelled hotel reservation. He has led the company's evolution from a resale marketplace with 2 million hotels to its current focus on empowering the global community of travel creators.
Best stay: Gon's favourite place he has travelled to so far is Charleston, South Carolina, in the United States.
Why travel: Gon believes the travel industry is unique because it helps people become better human beings. He views travel as an amazing way to explore the world and agrees with the sentiment that travel is the only thing you can buy that makes you richer — though he jokingly notes that stocks might be the one exception.
Next up: The next destination calling to Gon is Japan. He feels a spiritual pull toward the country and is eager to experience how they visually present the world, as well as their meticulous care for finding the perfect hotels.

Medha Vedaprakash

President & CBO

Day-to-day: Medha is responsible for building and executing the vision for the company's business as the leading creator commerce platform for travel. Her daily work is centred on scaling Roomer's position in the market, ensuring the platform provides a seamless commercial ecosystem where travel creators can thrive and grow their professional impact.
Experience: Medha brings over 20 years of experience in the technology industry to the Roomer leadership team. Prior to joining the company, she spent two years at Meta running partner product strategy and solutions, including creator ads products. Her extensive background also includes five years at Google, where she led ads and corporate partnerships with large global publishers in the news industry. This deep expertise in partner strategy and creator-focused products is instrumental in shaping Roomer's business model.
Best stay: Medha visited Bolivia and fell in love with the Explora Lodges, which are located at a remarkably high altitude. It was her first time staying at such an elevation, and she found it to be a profound experience, witnessing raw, untouched nature in all its splendour.
Why travel: Travel is the perfect blend of adventure and shared learning. She believes nothing beats the bond created when exploring an unfamiliar place with friends or family. She is a firm believer that the best way to understand the world is to experience it firsthand, diving into the local food scene, meeting people from different walks of life, and discovering the history that shaped them.
Next up: Japan is at the very top of Medha's travel list. She is deeply intrigued by the centuries-old cultures and philosophies of the region, particularly "wabi-sabi," which centres on embracing imperfection. As she and her family are also huge fans of Japanese cuisine, she looks forward to exploring the country's culinary landscape and rich history together.

Peleg Cohen

Head of Product

Day-to-day: Peleg collaborates closely with the founder, Gon, and the wider team to define the platform's trajectory, ranging from immediate features to a five-year vision. He acts as a strategic translator by breaking down product goals to ensure they benefit both creators and buyers. His role involves brainstorming and designing new concepts, then leading the engineering team to turn those visions into a functional product.
Experience: A fixture in the travel space since 2012, Peleg built a solo media brand from the ground up. He managed everything from site development to cinematic production while cultivating a significant following. Just over four years ago, he joined Roomer to scale that impact, bringing first-hand creator expertise to the company's core strategy.
Best stay: Peleg has stayed in thousands of unique properties across 153 countries. A few regions stand out for their raw beauty and impact: New Zealand, Mongolia, Alaska, and the rugged landscapes of Patagonia are some of the most beautiful places on Earth. For sheer uniqueness, Papua New Guinea holds a special place in his memory, while the Pacific islands of Samoa and Tonga offered a rare, authentic glimpse into life in the middle of the ocean. The journey that affected him most was a multi-month trek hitchhiking across West Africa with nothing but a tent, travelling from Senegal all the way to Nigeria.
Why travel: For Peleg, travel is a tool for self-discovery and a way to truly be who you are. He views it as a way to shed fears, build honest connections with others, and stay grounded in the present moment. By staying open to the opportunities the world provides, he aims to live in harmony with the universe rather than just passing through it.
Next up: Despite an extensive history of travelling to 153 countries and staying in thousands of properties, Peleg's curiosity remains. He is always looking toward the next horizon for the chance to explore a place he hasn't yet seen.

Tori Marco

Content & Community Manager

Day-to-day: Tori owns the entire social media pipeline, from initial video creation and copywriting to daily community engagement and posting. She produces short-form video and visual content as on-camera talent, specialising in UGC-style storytelling that builds brand trust through transparent marketing. Beyond content, she acts as a strategic bridge between the users and the team, assisting with high-level ideation and collating community feedback to help the team develop beneficial new features for the app.
Experience: Tori is a video creator and content specialist with a decade of experience in the field. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Media Arts, her love and passion for video and storytelling have led her to new and wonderful opportunities across diverse industries. During her career, she has consistently focused on performance-driven organic content, specialising in the full production pipeline from concept to final edit. As a naturally social person, she thrives on meeting new people and building genuine connections throughout her journey.
Best stay: Tori's favourite recurring travel experience is visiting Phuket, Thailand, every few years to attend a fitness camp. She describes this as an amazing retreat that allows her to meet new people, exercise in the sun, and enjoy island hopping.
Why travel: For Tori, travel is a vital tool for personal growth and getting out of her comfort zone. She values the independence it fosters and believes that if a person isn't growing as an individual while travelling, they aren't doing it right.
Next up: Tori is currently looking forward to visiting either Jamaica or Japan. She is drawn to Jamaica for its tropical vacation vibes, while Japan interests her because she feels the experience would be like entering an entirely new world.
