Hvorfor folk elsker det

9.7258 anmeldelser
  • Staff that treats you like long-lost family (shoutout to Laila and Abdullah)
  • Sparkling clean interiors that defy the dusty Medina streets outside
  • Rooftop terrace with Atlas Mountain views that make for perfect sunset tea

Hurtig oversigt: A pristine, high-value sanctuary in the Medina that nails the hospitality but suffers from the classic Riad echo-chamber noise.

Anmeldt af @zenstylejourneyI’ve never felt so cared for at a hotel. When my brother-in-law got sick, they brought breakfast to his room without us asking. Plus, they made us custom aloo parathas when they saw we were vegetarian! A true home in Marrakesh.

The hype

Reviewers are obsessed with the cleanliness and the genuinely warm service from the specific staff members.

Reality check

Soundproofing is non-existent; you will hear the call to prayer at dawn and conversations from the courtyard.

  • You value personalized service over big-hotel anonymity
  • You want to be walkable to Jemaa el-Fnaa but sleep in a quiet alley
  • Instagrammable tile work is a priority for your trip

Renhed & Vedligeholdelse

9.8
  • Housekeeping: Daily maid service is meticulous; guests consistently report 'spotless' rooms.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Immaculate. Grout is clean, no reports of mold or drainage smells (rare for the Medina).
  • Maintenance: Recently renovated feel; paint is fresh and tiles are intact.
  • Linens & towels: Fresh and crisp, though some guests find towels a bit on the thinner side.
  • Odors & scents: Smells of amber and orange blossom, not musty old building smells.

Sleepability™

6.5MODERAT
MODERAT
0-4HØJT
4-7.5MODERAT
7.5-10STILLE
  • Echoing voices from the central courtyard
  • Early morning Call to Prayer (Adhan) from nearby mosques
  • Guests walking in hallways (tiled floors carry sound)

Før du booker

Godt at vide

  • Alcohol is available onsite (bar/cocktails), which is rare for traditional Riads
  • Airport transfer is ~200 MAD ($20) per room and highly recommended to avoid getting lost
  • City tax is ~25.30 MAD ($2.50) per person/night, payable at checkout

Hvad skal du pakke

  • High-quality earplugs (essential for Medina stays)
  • Slip-on shoes (customary to remove shoes in some carpeted areas)
  • Modest clothing for walking outside the Riad

Værelses-genie

Bedste valg

  • Luxury Suite (upper floors) for more space and better natural light
  • Rooms with direct terrace access for a private outdoor nook

Værelser at undgå

  • Ground floor rooms near the reception/pool if you are sensitive to noise
  • Standard Double rooms if you have large luggage (can be tight)

I would appreciate a room on an upper floor, away from the central courtyard noise. If available, a room with terrace access would be wonderful.

Ofte stillede spørgsmål og skjulte tips

Alt hvad du gerne vil vide før du booker.

Is the pool heated?

Not reliably. It's an indoor/courtyard plunge pool that is refreshing in summer but can be quite cold in winter months.

Can a taxi drop me at the door?

No. The streets are too narrow. You'll be dropped at a nearby square (Riad Laarous or similar) and staff will wheel your bags the rest of the way.

Is breakfast included?

Yes, a generous Moroccan breakfast (omelets, pancakes, fresh juice) is typically included in the rate.

Do they serve alcohol?

Yes, there is a bar onsite serving cocktails and wine, unlike many dry Riads.

Is it safe to walk around at night?

Generally yes, the area is busy, but the alley to the Riad can be dark. It's best to stick to main thoroughfares late at night.

Is there an elevator?

No. Be prepared to climb stairs. Staff will carry your luggage up and down.

Insidertips

  • Ask for dinner to be served on the rooftop at sunset—it's often quieter and more romantic than the courtyard.

  • The 'Hammam' onsite is good, but book it upon arrival as slots fill up with outside guests.

  • Don't buy the first rug you see; the Riad staff can recommend honest shops if you ask nicely.

5 ting du bør vide før du tager af sted

  • 💡The 'indoor pool' is really just a large decorative plunge pool; don't expect to swim laps.

  • 💡You might get a 'welcome tea' that ruins your appetite for dinner—it's very sweet and filling.

  • 💡The Wi-Fi is surprisingly fast for the Medina (fiber optic), but can be spotty in the far corners of stone-walled rooms.

  • 💡The 'King' beds are often two singles pushed together (common in Morocco).

  • 💡You will likely get lost finding it the first time; download an offline map before you arrive.
