Bakit Ito Minamahal ng Mga Tao

  • Huge rooms that dwarf typical city shoeboxes
  • Heated indoor pool that saves rainy days
  • Walking distance to Galerías Pacífico and Florida Street

Mabilis na Sumisid: It’s a rebranded Meliá in a business district that turns into a ghost town after dark, but the beds are solid and the cookies are warm.

Sinuri ng @saramontoyamI stayed at the rebranded DoubleTree in Microcentro and it was exactly what I needed. The room was spacious enough to properly relax with wine, and having a live flight screen in the lobby saved me so much stress before heading to the airport. Breakfast was a highlight too!

The hype

Travelers appreciate the massive rooms and helpful staff, but often note the property feels like a 'classic' hotel showing its age.

Reality check

Housekeeping can be inconsistent—reports of missing towels or toilet paper are annoying for a brand of this caliber.

  • You need a guaranteed quiet workspace with a desk
  • You're traveling with kids who need a pool to burn energy
  • You prioritize square footage over trendy decor

Kalinisan & Pagpapanatili

8.5
  • Housekeeping: Generally reliable daily service, though some guests report missed restocking of basics like toilet paper.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Bathrooms are spacious and clean, with good grout lines, though fixtures are older.
  • Maintenance: Solid condition, but you might spot scuffed furniture or worn carpet edges in hallways.
  • Linens & towels: Standard Hilton quality—clean and crisp, but not ultra-luxury plush.
  • Odors & scents: Neutral to fresh; no lingering smoke or mustiness reported.

Magandang Malaman

  • The 'city view' is often just other buildings; don't pay extra unless you confirm it's a clear view.
  • You get a warm chocolate chip cookie at check-in—it's the brand signature and it's actually good.
  • Currency exchange is vital in Argentina; ask the concierge for the most reliable nearby 'cueva' or Western Union.

Ano ang dapat dalhin

  • Universal travel adapter (Argentina uses Type I)
  • US Dollars (crisp, new $100 bills) for the best exchange rates
  • Earplugs if you're sensitive to internal hotel noise

Genie ng Kuwarto

Mga Pinakamahusay na Pilihan

  • Corner Suites for maximum light and space
  • High-floor rooms facing away from the street for better views

Mga Kuwartong Dapat Iwasan

  • Low-floor rooms facing the street (less privacy, more noise)
  • Rooms near the elevator banks

Room Request Genie – kopyahin at i-paste

I'd love a high-floor room away from the elevators, preferably with a view that isn't just an office wall. If a renovated room is available, that would be ideal.

FAQ & Mga Nakatagong Tip

Lahat ng kailangan mong malaman bago ka magbook.

Is the pool open year-round?

Yes, the indoor pool is heated and open all year. There is also an outdoor deck/pool area for summer.

Is the area safe at night?

It's safe enough to walk short distances, but because it's a business district, it empties out. Uber or Cabify is recommended after 9 PM.

Does the hotel offer airport transfer?

Not a free one. They can arrange a 'remis' (private car) for a fee, which is safer and nicer than a street taxi.

Is breakfast included?

Not standard. It's often an extra fee (~$15-20 USD). Check your specific booking rate.

Can I exchange money at the hotel?

You can, but the rate will likely be the official one (lower value). You're better off using Western Union or a trusted exchange house nearby.

Is there a gym?

Yes, a functional fitness center with cardio machines and weights. It's not Equinox, but it gets the job done.

Mga Insider Tips

  • The hotel was formerly a Meliá, so some design elements still feel very Spanish/European classic.

  • Ask for a room with a balcony—rare in this city center but available in some suites.

  • The concierge can often get you into tango shows that claim to be 'sold out'.

5 bagay na dapat mong malaman bago ka umalis

  • 💡The lobby bar 'Gongora' is surprisingly decent for a nightcap if you don't want to venture out.

  • 💡Housekeeping can be stingy with towels; ask for extra at check-in.

  • 💡The 'outdoor pool' is more of a plunge pool/terrace situation than a resort swimmer.

  • 💡You are literally 2 minutes from one of the best casual steakhouses in the city (Santos Manjares).

  • 💡The elevators can be slow during morning rush hour.
