Bakit Ito Minamahal ng Mga Tao

  • Unbeatable location right next to Casa Port station
  • Reliable WiFi for digital nomads on a budget
  • Modern, functional rooms that are predictable in a good way

Mabilis na Sumisid: It’s a glorified dormitory for adults with better sheets and a bar, but for the price and location, it’s the smartest budget play in town.

Sinuri ng @Ksenia_iI was totally exhausted when I arrived, so this quick tour is raw and honest. The room is small (17sqm) but the view from the 9th floor makes it feel open. It’s the Ibis Abdelmoumen location—simple, clean, and gets the job done for a solo trip.

The hype

Travelers love the 'roll out of bed and onto the train' convenience but consistently groan about the small room size.

Reality check

The 'city view' rooms come with a free soundtrack of honking taxis and tram bells; light sleepers struggle here.

  • You have an early train to catch
  • You treat a hotel room solely as a place to sleep and shower
  • You want to save your dirhams for food and shopping

Kalinisan & Pagpapanatili

7.8
  • Housekeeping: Generally reliable daily service, but sometimes rush through and miss dust in corners.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Usually clean, but watch out for worn grout or slow drains in older rooms.
  • Maintenance: Functional. You might find a loose handle or scuffed paint, but nothing broken.
  • Linens & towels: Crisp white sheets (standard Ibis), but towels can be thin and scratchy.
  • Odors & scents: Neutral. No heavy perfumes, but occasional whiff of city exhaust in lower rooms.

  • Luggage storage is available but reports suggest it's loosely managed—lock your bags.
  • Breakfast is ~65 MAD, but the train station next door has cheaper, better coffee.

Ano ang dapat dalhin

  • Earplugs (non-negotiable for city side rooms)
  • Your own toiletries (shampoo/soap provided, but bring conditioner/lotion)
  • Universal travel adapter (outlets are Type C/E)

Genie ng Kuwarto

Mga Pinakamahusay na Pilihan

  • High floor (8th+) facing the Port/Ocean for less noise and a better view
  • Corner rooms sometimes offer a slightly different layout with marginally more light

Mga Kuwartong Dapat Iwasan

  • Low floors (1-4) facing the main street/tram line
  • Rooms near the elevator (hallway noise is real)

I am a light sleeper and would appreciate a room on a high floor (8+) facing the Port side, away from the street/tram noise. Thank you.

FAQ & Mga Nakatagong Tip

Lahat ng kailangan mong malaman bago ka magbook.

Is there a gym or pool?

No. Do not believe third-party sites that say otherwise. If you need a swim, go to a beach club on the Corniche.

How much is parking?

You park at the Casa Port station underground garage next door. Expect to pay around 30-40 MAD ($3-4) per 24 hours.

Is the area safe at night?

Generally yes, it's a busy transit hub. However, avoid walking deep into the Old Medina or unlit side streets alone after dark.

Does the hotel serve alcohol?

Yes, there is a bar on-site serving beer and wine, which is a nice perk for a budget hotel in Morocco.

Can I walk to the Hassan II Mosque?

It's a 25-30 minute walk. Doable, but a cheap 'Petit Taxi' (red taxi) will get you there in 5 minutes for under $2.

Is breakfast included?

Usually no. It's an extra ~65 MAD. It's a standard buffet—decent but uninspired. Better options exist in the station.

Mga Insider Tips

  • Skip the hotel breakfast and walk 2 minutes into Casa Port station for fresh pastries or Starbucks.

  • The 'Petit Taxis' (red ones) are metered and cheap; don't let them negotiate a flat rate within the city.

  • There is a hidden gem 'Ibil Snack' nearby that serves camel tagine if you're feeling adventurous.

5 bagay na dapat mong malaman bago ka umalis

  • 💡The shower pressure is surprisingly good for a budget hotel.

  • 💡You can hear the call to prayer, but it's part of the charm (or a wake-up call).

  • 💡The 'double' bed is often two singles pushed together.

  • 💡The AC is centrally controlled in some seasons—you might not be able to make it arctic cold in winter.

  • 💡Security guards at the entrance are strict, which is actually comforting.
