Stunning traditional teak wood architecture everywhere
Spectacular hillside views over Thong Nai Pan Noi bay
Private speedboat transfer from Koh Samui feels like a James Bond arrival
Vista ràpida: It’s a gorgeous wooden labyrinth built into a steep cliff, so be prepared to wait for a buggy or sweat through your linen shirt.
Revisat per @the_home_we_made: I’ve never stayed anywhere like this. The sheer amount of teak wood and craftsmanship is mind-blowing. Having my own private pool hidden in the jungle made me feel like I was the only person on the island. It’s the perfect romantic escape.

The hype
Visually breathtaking and very romantic, but the service can be slow and the 'rustic' wood charm sometimes means creaky floors and worn varnish.
Reality check
The 'wooden car' shuttle service is essential but can have 15-20 minute wait times during peak breakfast and dinner hours.
You love traditional Thai design and intricate wood carving
You want a private plunge pool with an ocean view
You prefer a quiet, village vibe over all-night parties

Housekeeping: Daily service is generally good, but the large wooden rooms can hide dust in corners.
Bathroom hygiene: Clean, but the open-air design means you might spot the occasional ant trail.
Maintenance: The teak wood is beautiful but shows age; expect some creaky floorboards and weathered varnish.
Linens & towels: Fresh and clean, though some guests find the mattresses on the harder side.
Odors & scents: Mostly fresh jungle air and lemongrass, occasionally musty in older rooms.

Tot allò que realment vols saber abans de reservar.
Is it close to the Full Moon Party?
No. It is on the opposite side of the island (North East). A taxi to Haad Rin takes 45-60 minutes and costs ~1,000+ THB roundtrip.
Can I walk to local restaurants?
Yes! Walk down the beach to Thong Nai Pan Noi village for excellent dining options like Luna Lounge and Rasta Baby.
Is the pool private?
Villas have private plunge pools. There is also a massive main pool with a man-made waterfall and a quieter infinity pool up the hill.
How do I get there from Koh Samui?
The easiest way is the resort's private speedboat (30 mins). The cheaper way is the public ferry to Thong Sala pier, then a 45-min taxi across the island.
Is it suitable for elderly travelers?
Honestly, no. Even with the buggy service, there are steps everywhere and the terrain is extremely steep.
Does the room have AC?
Yes, all rooms have AC, but the traditional wooden design means they aren't hermetically sealed, so they can take a moment to cool down.
