My stay at Aloft Taipei Beitou was a refreshing departure from the typical cramped city hotel. The experience began in the vibrant W XYZ bar area before I headed up to my suite. The room itself is a massive open-concept space featuring a retro-modern sofa, a dedicated work desk, and a Nespresso station that I definitely put to use. The highlight has to be the bathroom—it's encased in glass with bold red tiles and a deep soaking tub that looks incredible in photos. The bedroom area features a plush King bed positioned perfectly to face the floor-to-ceiling windows. Instead of staring at another building, I had a sweeping view of the Guandu Plain and the distant mountains. While it's located in Beitou, a bit away from Taipei 101, the trade-off for this amount of space and style at the $200 price point felt completely worth it.
