Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas Jambo House

Reserva esto si You want a literal safari outside your balcony and don't mind a 20-minute bus ride to Magic Kingdom.

Por qué a la gente le encanta

9.17 reseñas
  • Waking up to giraffes and zebras right outside the window
  • The most immersive, transportive lobby in all of Disney World
  • Dining at Boma and Jiko is arguably the best on property

Resumen rápido: It's a stunning architectural masterpiece that feels a million miles from a theme park, which is great until you actually need to get to a theme park.

Reseñado por @DreamfindingwithfrancesI stayed in this Savanna View room and it was unforgettable. The African decor is so detailed, but the real magic happens when you step onto the balcony. Seeing zebras and giraffes while I drank my morning coffee was a core memory. It feels like a true escape.

Lo que dijeron los huéspedes que se hospedaron aquí

The hype

The animals are magical and the food is incredible, but the rooms feel a bit dark and the hallways are endless.

Reality check

You will walk. A lot. The hallways are notoriously long, and if you're at the end of the Kudu Trail, it's a 10-minute trek to the lobby.

  • You prioritize atmosphere and dining over quick park access
  • You are a 'resort day' person who loves pools and animal watching
  • You appreciate dark, moody, authentic cultural theming over bright cartoons

Limpieza y Mantenimiento

8
  • Housekeeping: Generally reliable daily service, though 'dusty' is a common complaint due to the thatched/wood decor.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Clean but dated. Some reports of low water pressure and dim lighting making it hard to see.
  • Maintenance: Aging gracefully, but aging. Worn carpets and scuffed furniture are why the 2026 refurb is happening.
  • Linens & towels: Standard Disney quality—clean but not luxury Egyptian cotton. Check mattress seams (standard precaution).
  • Odors & scents: Lobby smells amazing (woodsmoke/spice). Rooms can smell slightly musty due to Florida humidity and age.

  • Lobby noise echoing up to 3rd/4th floor rooms
  • Long hallways mean constant foot traffic past your door
  • Construction noise (starting May 2026)

Antes de reservar

Es bueno saberlo

  • Jambo House is the main building; Kidani Village is a separate building 10 mins away (shuttle available).
  • Self-parking is free for resort guests.
  • You do NOT need a Savanna View room to see animals; there are huge public viewing balconies on every floor.

Qué llevar

  • Binoculars (even if you have a savanna room, animals can be far)
  • White noise machine (to drown out hallway chatter)
  • Power strip (older rooms have fewer outlets near the bed)

Genio de Habitaciones

Mejores opciones

  • Ostrich Trail (3rd/4th floor) odd-numbered rooms often have 'secret' partial savanna views at Standard prices
  • Rooms near the lobby (Zebra Trail) minimize the exhausting walks

Habitaciones a evitar

  • Rooms overlooking the 'Sunset Savanna' people pen (evacuation zone) if you want privacy
  • Ground floor rooms near the pool gates (noise)
  • Any room at the very end of Kudu Trail unless you want a workout

Genio de Solicitud de Habitación – copiar y pegar

Request a room on the Zebra Trail, 3rd or 4th floor, close to the lobby elevators. If booking Standard View, request 'Ostrich Trail facing the pen' for a chance at animals.

Preguntas frecuentes y consejos ocultos

Todo lo que realmente quieres saber antes de reservar.

Is the Savanna View worth the extra $100+ per night?

Yes, if you plan to spend time in the room. Waking up to a giraffe is the whole point. If you're in the parks all day, skip it and use the public balconies.

Can I walk to Animal Kingdom park?

No. Despite the name, it's not walkable. You must take a bus or ride-share.

Is the pool heated?

Yes, the Uzima Pool is heated to 82°F year-round and has zero-entry.

Are there hidden resort fees?

No daily resort fee, but Valet parking is ~$42/night (Self-parking is free).

How bad is the construction?

Kidani is active now. Jambo starts May 2026. If booking late 2026, ask for a room away from active work zones.

Can I use the pool at Kidani Village?

Yes, guests can use both the Uzima Pool (Jambo) and Samawati Springs Pool (Kidani).

Consejos de Insiders

  • The 'Standard View' rooms on the Kudu Trail sometimes overlook the animal holding pens—you might see vet checks!

  • Night vision goggles are available for free viewing at the Arusha Rock overlook in the evenings.

  • Boma's breakfast buffet has 'Simba Waffles' (not Mickey) and is easier to get into than dinner.

5 cosas que debes saber antes de ir

  • 💡The lobby smell is a custom scent of wood smoke and spices—people buy candles to replicate it.

  • 💡The 'people pens' (evacuation zones) mean some Standard rooms have better animal views than expensive ones.

  • 💡Room service is actually just delivery from the restaurants in to-go boxes, not a white-tablecloth cart.

  • 💡The bus ride to Magic Kingdom can take 25+ minutes, not including the wait.

  • 💡There is a hidden path from Jambo to Kidani if you miss the shuttle, but it's a 10-15 min walk.
