White Oaks Resort Spa

Reserva esto si You want a full-service resort with a massive fitness club and outlet shopping right across the street, rather than a quaint B&B experience.

Por qué a la gente le encanta

9.1775 reseñas
  • The Club at White Oaks is a 100,000 sq. ft. fitness playground with squash, tennis, and a huge gym
  • Located directly across from the Outlet Collection at Niagara (dangerous for your wallet)
  • LIV Restaurant offers genuinely high-end dining without leaving the property

Resumen rápido: It’s a bustling conference hotel on the highway, not a romantic Victorian inn, but the amenities are beastly good.

Reseñado por @aprilvalvanoMy partner and I escaped here for the weekend and it was exactly what we needed. We spent half the morning in those plush robes eating eggs benedict by the window. The bed was incredibly soft—we couldn't resist jumping on it like kids!

Lo que dijeron los huéspedes que se hospedaron aquí

The hype

Travelers love the massive gym and convenient location for shopping, but often find the layout sprawling and busy.

Reality check

The 'resort fee' is mandatory and parking is extra, which surprises guests expecting an all-inclusive rate.

  • You prioritize a serious workout or tennis match over historic charm
  • You are planning a shopping spree at the outlets across the street
  • You want a 'one-stop-shop' resort where you don't have to leave for dinner or spa

Limpieza y Mantenimiento

9
  • Housekeeping: Daily service is reliable. Reviews consistently mention 'clean and aesthetically pleasing' rooms.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Generally spotless. Grout and tiles in Tower rooms are well-maintained; older rooms are clean but show age.
  • Maintenance: Good overall. The 'Tower' rooms are crisp; some wear and tear visible in the hallways of the older wings.
  • Linens & towels: High quality. Towels are fluffy and linens are crisp white. Robes are provided and are a nice touch.
  • Odors & scents: Fresh. No lingering smoke or musty smells reported, thanks to the strict non-smoking policy.

Antes de reservar

Es bueno saberlo

  • The 'Resort Fee' (approx $17 CAD) covers access to the massive fitness club, which is a legitimate value if you use it.
  • You are a 15-minute drive from the Shaw Festival and Old Town; Uber/Lyft is available but having a car is best.
  • The Outlet Collection at Niagara is literally across the street—bring an empty suitcase.

Qué llevar

  • Proper gym gear: The fitness center is world-class, not a sad hotel treadmill room.
  • Swimsuit: The indoor pool is large and open year-round.
  • Dressier clothes: LIV Restaurant has a 'smart casual' dress code and feels upscale.

Genio de Habitaciones

Mejores opciones

  • Tower Rooms (floors 3+): These are the most recently updated, modern, and generally quieter.
  • Platinum Suites: Huge, fireplace-equipped, and feel much more 'luxury' than standard rooms.

Habitaciones a evitar

  • Ground floor Garden Wing rooms: Prone to light pollution from exterior walkways and noise.
  • Standard rooms near the elevators: High traffic from conference guests.

Genio de Solicitud de Habitación – copiar y pegar

I would appreciate a room in the Tower section, ideally on a higher floor (3rd or above) to minimize hallway noise. Please avoid the ground floor Garden wing if possible.

Preguntas frecuentes y consejos ocultos

Todo lo que realmente quieres saber antes de reservar.

Is it walking distance to the Old Town?

No. It is located in Glendale, right off the QEW highway. You need to drive or take a shuttle/Uber about 15 minutes to reach the historic center.

Is the pool kid-friendly?

Yes, it's a large indoor pool that welcomes families, but it can get very busy with kids during weekends and holidays.

Does the resort fee cover parking?

No. Self-parking is approx. $15 CAD/night and valet is $20 CAD/night on top of the resort fee.

Are the rooms dated?

Some of the 'Superior' rooms in the original wings feel older. Book a 'Tower' room for a more modern, updated aesthetic.

Is there a shuttle to the wineries?

The hotel doesn't run a free shuttle to wineries, but they can arrange paid wine tours. You are in the heart of wine country, so many are a short drive away.

Can I bring my dog?

No. White Oaks is strictly a no-pet facility, with exceptions only for registered service animals.

Consejos de Insiders

  • Ask for a 'mattress encasement' if you are hyper-sensitive to hygiene; housekeeping can provide one.

  • The 'Grow Kitchen & Café' serves Starbucks coffee but often has a shorter line than the actual Starbucks in the outlet mall.

  • Club members get priority at the gym, but as a hotel guest, you have full access—go during off-peak hours (mid-afternoon) for a quieter workout.

5 cosas que debes saber antes de ir

  • 💡The 'Garden' is a surprisingly peaceful courtyard in the middle of the complex, great for reading away from the conference chaos.

  • 💡The racquetball and squash courts are pro-level; you can actually book court time.

  • 💡Room service breakfast is often better quality than the buffet if the hotel is hosting a large group.

  • 💡The elevators in the main tower can be slow during conference check-out times.

  • 💡You can hear the highway (QEW) from the parking lot, but the rooms are generally well-insulated against traffic noise.
