Stunning mountain and pine forest backdrop that feels secluded
Free shuttle to Ölüdeniz beach (saves you the taxi haggle)
The 'Residence' blocks have lifts and better accessibility than most hillside resorts
Quick Take: A solid 4-star holiday village masquerading as a 5-star luxury resort—come for the pool scene, not the white-glove service.
Reviewed by @MarilynMcGirl78: I booked this for a quiet escape and it delivered. The gardens are massive and lush, and lounging by the pool with that mountain backdrop was my favorite part of the trip. It’s a bit inland, but the peace and quiet were exactly what I needed.
Guest Who Stayed Here Said
The hype
Guests love the pool and location but consistently groan about the paid/spotty wifi and aging bathrooms.
Reality check
The 'Swim-Up' rooms look cool on Instagram but can be freezing cold because the forest/mountain shadow blocks the sun for half the day.
You want to be near the party in Hisarönü but sleep in silence
You don't mind buffet dining for breakfast and lunch
You are traveling with kids who need a dedicated pool and slide
Cleanliness & Maintenance
7.6
Housekeeping: Old-school system: you must leave your key at reception to request cleaning. If you forget, your room won't be touched.
Bathroom hygiene: The weak point. Frequent reports of tired grout, black mold in corners, and 'musty' smells in ground floor rooms.
Maintenance: Generally okay, but expect peeling paint on balconies and some wobbly fixtures. It's 'wear and tear' central.
Linens & towels: Clean but basic. Towels can be thin. Beach towel exchange is strict.
Odors & scents: Forest air is fresh, but some rooms have a lingering damp/drain smell.

Best picks
Top floor of Residence Blocks (Blocks 4 & 5) for mountain views and elevator access
Garden Blocks for a more rustic feel, but only if you can handle stairs
Rooms to avoid
Ground floor Garden Block rooms (can be damp/musty due to shade)
Swim-up rooms if you want a warm pool—they stay in the shade too long
Room Request Genie – copy & paste
“I would appreciate a room in the Residence Block (upper floor) for the mountain view and elevator access. Please avoid ground floor units as we are sensitive to dampness.”
FAQ & Hidden tips
Everything you actually want to know before you book.
Is the wifi really that bad?
Yes. It's free in public areas (lobby/pool) but often paid or non-existent in rooms. Do not rely on it for Zoom calls.
How far is the beach?
Ölüdeniz Beach is 4km away (10-15 min drive). The hotel runs a free shuttle, usually once in the morning and once back in the afternoon.
Is it all-inclusive?
It offers All-Inclusive packages, but many guests opt for Half Board since dining in Hisarönü is cheap and excellent.
Are the pools heated?
No. The main pools are freshwater and unheated. They can be chilly in May and October.
Is there a lift?
Only in the 'Residence' blocks (4 storeys). The 'Garden' blocks (2 storeys) are stairs-only.
Can I walk to town?
Yes, Hisarönü village center is a 200m (5-minute) walk uphill/flat. Very easy access.
Insider Tips
✨
The 'Snack Bar' has rigid hours—if you miss the 4pm cutoff, you're waiting for dinner.
✨
Monday is market day in Hisarönü—great for fake designer gear and spices, just a short walk away.
✨
Don't buy the hotel wine; the local supermarket is 5 minutes away and has better options for your balcony.
5 things to know before you go
💡The 'Swim-Up' rooms are often in the shade of the mountain, making the water freezing even in summer.
💡You have to leave your key card at reception to get your room cleaned—it's an old-school signal system.
💡The 'Gym' is essentially a few rusty machines in a small room.
💡The hotel is technically 'in the mountains', so the sun sets behind the peak earlier than at the beach.
💡There is no iron in the room—you have to request one or use the laundry service.
