Pourquoi les gens l'adorent

10.03 avis
  • Direct access to a quiet black sand beach with calm, swimmable waters
  • Private cook Jero who prepares restaurant-quality meals at local prices
  • Massive 3,000m² tropical garden that feels like a private park

En bref : This is authentic, rustic luxury—meaning you will likely share your outdoor shower with a gecko or two.

Évalué par @paulienbealeI found my absolute happy place here. Waking up to mountain views and ending the day on my private beach deck was magical. The outdoor shower surrounded by greenery was such a cool touch. It felt like a true escape from everything.

Ce que les clients qui ont séjourné ici ont dit

The hype

A peaceful paradise that feels like a private home, with staff that treat you like family.

Reality check

The 'rustic' charm means open-air living spaces can attract insects, and the wifi isn't fiber-optic fast.

  • You crave absolute silence and privacy away from the Kuta/Seminyak chaos
  • You are traveling with a group or family and want a whole property to yourselves
  • You enjoy snorkeling and want easy access to Menjangan Island

Propreté et entretien

8.5
  • Housekeeping: Daily service by a dedicated team (Komang, Ketut). Guests consistently praise the staff for keeping the large grounds tidy.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Clean, but open-air designs mean you might find fallen leaves or a stray ant. Stone surfaces can show water marks but are sanitary.
  • Maintenance: Generally well-maintained, though 'rustic' elements like weathering wood on decks are present due to the sea air.
  • Linens & towels: Fresh and clean, though maybe not the 1000-thread count of a St. Regis. Beach towels provided.
  • Odors & scents: Fresh sea breeze and frangipani flowers from the garden. No musty carpet smells (tiled floors).

  • Ocean waves (can be loud at high tide)
  • Gecko calls (distinctive 'to-kay' sound)
  • Morning roosters in the distant village

Avant de réserver

Bon à savoir

  • The villa includes a private cook (Jero); you pay for groceries plus a small fee or order from a reasonably priced menu.
  • Tap water is NOT drinkable; use the provided filtered water dispensers for everything, including brushing teeth.
  • You can rent the whole villa (up to 11 pax) or sometimes book just for 2 people at a base rate—clarify this before booking.

Quoi emporter

  • Reef-safe sunscreen (you are near a protected marine park)
  • Strong mosquito repellent (open-air living means bugs)
  • Cash (IDR) for tipping staff and paying for small local purchases

Génie des chambres

Meilleurs choix

  • The Pavilion Room (upstairs) for the best 360-degree views of the sea and mountains, though it can be warmer.
  • Master Suite in the main house for the most space and a luxurious semi-outdoor bathroom.

Chambres à éviter

  • The Pavilion Room if you are a light sleeper sensitive to kitchen smells/sounds (it's located above the kitchen).

Génie de demande de chambre – copier & coller

We are looking for a quiet stay—if available, we'd prefer one of the main house bedrooms for better sound insulation and cooler temperatures.

FAQ et astuces cachées

Tout ce que vous voulez vraiment savoir avant de réserver.

Is the beach clean?

Generally yes, but during the monsoon season (Dec-March), tides can bring in marine debris. The staff cleans the beachfront daily.

How far is the snorkeling?

Menjangan Island, world-class snorkeling/diving, is a 20-30 minute boat ride away. Boats can often pick you up directly from the villa's beach.

Is there air conditioning?

Yes, all 4 bedrooms have air conditioning. The living areas are open-air with fans.

Can I walk to restaurants?

Not easily. The villa is secluded. You'll need a scooter, a driver, or just let the in-house cook Jero handle your meals (highly recommended).

Is it safe for kids?

Yes, the garden is huge and enclosed, and the pool has a shallow area. However, the pool is not fenced, so constant supervision is needed.

Do they serve alcohol?

They can arrange beer and basic drinks, but for wine or spirits, it's best to bring your own from duty-free or a larger supermarket in the south.

Conseils d'initiés

  • Ask Pak Direksen to arrange a sunrise dolphin trip; the boat can pick you up right in front of the villa.

  • The 'massage pavilion' in the garden is cheaper and better than most fancy hotel spas—book a treatment at sunset.

  • Request the 'Balinese Feast' dinner from Cook Jero at least 24 hours in advance; it's better than any restaurant in town.

5 choses à savoir avant de partir

  • 💡The drive to get here is beautiful but exhausting; it crosses the central mountain range.

  • 💡You will likely see 'Tokay' geckos (large, spotted lizards) in the rafters; they are harmless and eat mosquitoes.

  • 💡The beach sand is black volcanic sand, which gets incredibly hot in the midday sun.

  • 💡There is no 'room service' menu at 2 AM; the kitchen closes when the staff goes home.

  • 💡The internet speed is decent for emails but don't expect to stream 4K video without buffering.
