Is the beach swimmable?
Yes, but it's shallow and rocky in parts. Bring reef shoes. The lagoon is protected by a reef, so no big waves, but the wind can make it choppy.
Can I drink the tap water?
No. The hotel provides 2 bottles daily, but guests report this isn't enough. Buy 5L jugs at the local supermarket in Flacq to save money.
Is there construction noise?
There is a residential development project ('Long Beach Residences') nearby. While major structural work is done, intermittent noise is possible. Ask for a room away from the construction boundary.
How is the wifi?
Surprisingly good. fast enough for Zoom calls, covering rooms and most of the pool area.
Are the pools heated?
The main pool is not consistently heated and can be 'freezing' in winter (June-Aug). The lap pool at the gym is often warmer.
Is it adults-only?
No, it's very family-friendly. However, there is an 'adults-only' infinity pool which is strictly policed.
