Is the beach swimmable?
Not really. It's a rocky lava shelf. You swim in the 7 pools or the King's Pond aquarium. For a sandy beach, drive 10 mins to Kekaha Kai State Park.
Is there a resort fee?
No! Hualalai is one of the few luxury resorts in Hawaii that does not charge a daily resort fee.
How much is breakfast?
Expect to pay ~$50 per person for the buffet at Ulu Ocean Grill. It's excellent but pricey.
Can I use the spa without a treatment?
Generally no, facilities are reserved for treatment guests, but you can book a 'Nighttime Spa Experience' for private after-hours access ($960+).
Is it kid-friendly?
Extremely. Between the shallow sandy entry of King's Pond, the Keiki pool, and the complimentary 'Kids for All Seasons' club, it's a family haven.
