@theboutiqueadventurer videótúrájaI absolutely love this place. The history is everywhere—from the WWII bunker in the cellar to the hats hanging in the American Bar. Plus, using the secret key to slip directly into Green Park made me feel like I actually lived in Mayfair. Truly special.

A comprehensive tour of The Stafford London, a historic luxury hotel tucked away in St James's, Mayfair. The journey begins with the unique Carriage House rooms, converted from former Arabian horse stables, featuring distinctive split doors and Penhaligon's toiletries. We then move to the expansive Penthouse Suite, showcasing a working fireplace, marble bathroom, and a private terrace with sweeping views over the London skyline. The creator acts as a local guide, highlighting the hotel's prime location near Green Park and historic Mayfair establishments like Berry Bros & Rudd, Lock & Co Hatters, and Fortnum & Mason. Special attention is given to the legendary American Bar, famous for its ceiling adorned with signed baseball caps and ties—a tradition started by US servicemen. The tour delves deep into the hotel's rich history, visiting the 380-year-old wine cellar which served as a WWII bomb shelter and now houses a fascinating museum of wartime artifacts. The video concludes with a look at the courtyard dining, the breakfast spread, and the 'top secret' hidden exit that offers guests exclusive, direct access to Green Park and the tube station.

One of my very favorites in London. Let's go in and explore. The Stafford Hotel first opened its doors to guests 112 years ago. The hotel consists of three unique and separate buildings. The Carriage House used to be a stable for Arabian horses which explains those gorgeous doors. Uh and these are the entry level rooms at The Stafford. Um I love that the uh they have the Penhaligon's toiletries there, one of my favorite English brands. Uh next up is the Penthouse Suite to show you the other end of the spectrum. This suite comes with a private living and dining area, private study and a working fireplace. Uh it's also got its own terrace with some fantastic views over Mayfair and St James. This is huge, particularly for London. Uh and I'm also a big fan of the marble bathrooms. So all the bathrooms at The Stafford are really quite lovely. Once you've checked into your room you'll want to explore Mayfair. The Stafford is a short walk from lovely Green Park. It's also close to one of the oldest wine merchants in the world Berry Brothers. Plus it's close to the oldest hat shop in the world Lock and Co, which is also the home of the bowler hat. You can head nearby to James Fox Cigars if that's your thing. Uh then over to Jermyn Street which is home to some of the most famous names in menswear in the world. Then you'll want to stroll up to Piccadilly and the lovely Fortnum and Mason. It's one of the most famous stores in London and just a short walk from The Stafford. This is my favorite place to go to buy quintessential London gifts. Don't miss the white chocolate and pistachio cookies. Then over the Royal Academy to check out the latest exhibition before you return to The Stafford because it's time for a drink. And this is the American Bar at The Stafford. It's one of the best bars in London, known for its cocktails. It's been here since the 1930s. Uh and apart from being a beautiful space, one of the things that's most interesting is the ceiling. Uh the ceiling is full of caps and ties and there's even actually kind of American style football helmets. It's become tradition for guests particularly from the United States to leave their small memento in the American Bar. One of the things that makes The Stafford a really unique hotel in London is its amazing history and you can actually see that when you come and stay. Um so The Stafford was actually used as a bomb shelter in World War II. Plus there were many American and Canadian servicemen stationed here, thus the American Bar. Uh and there's rumors that the Palace used to actually bottle its wine here as well. It's actually a small museum downstairs in the cellar plus they've got a beautiful wine cellar and they regularly do wine tastings etc. The next morning you can grab some fresh air in the beautiful courtyard um at The Stafford and then maybe head inside to one of its beautiful dining rooms where you can partake in its rather delectable buffet breakfast. Look at those pastries. Then take the top secret hidden exit uh that'll take you straight from The Stafford to Green Park and the nearby Green Park tube where you can head on to the next stage of your adventure.
