My stay at Orka World Hotel & Aquapark in Ölüdeniz was a mix of sun, fun, and great views. The property is built into a steep hillside, which gives it incredible dramatic backdrops of the mountains. The highlight for me was definitely the funicular system—instead of hiking up stairs, you take these cool inclined elevators to get from the pool deck to your room. It turns a potential negative into a fun feature. The pool area is massive and bustling, perfect for cooling off in the Turkish heat. I was also pleasantly surprised by the food; the buffet had fresh grilled shrimp and plenty of fruit, which we enjoyed on the terrace. The room itself was fairly standard but comfortable, featuring a sofa, a decent-sized bathroom, and a balcony. While the glass railings on the balcony mean you're a bit visible to people walking by, the view of the mountains and the resort below is totally worth it. The walk through the olive grove gardens to get to different parts of the hotel was also a lovely, peaceful touch.
