Technically it's in the 'buffer zone' right on the edge, meaning animals roam freely on the property, but you still enter the park via a gate for safaris.

Can I swim in the ocean?

No, the sea is too rough and dangerous. Stick to your private pool or the massive main resort pool.

Is it safe for children?

Yes, but they must be supervised constantly due to wildlife. The Junior Ranger program is excellent for ages 5-12.

How far is the safari entrance?

The Palatupana entrance to Yala National Park is just a 10-15 minute drive from the lobby.

Are there hidden fees?
