Regency Country Club, Apartments Suites

Reserva esto si You want a Balinese-themed sanctuary that feels a world away from the tacky neon strip of Playa de las Américas, but is still just a €10 taxi ride from the action.

Por qué a la gente le encanta

8.3489 reseñas
  • The heated infinity pool is genuinely stunning and massive, with a swim-up bar that actually serves decent cocktails
  • It’s dead quiet at night compared to the coastal hotels—you’re in the hills of Chayofa, not the party zone
  • Apartment-style layouts mean you get a full kitchen and massive terrace, perfect for long-term stays

Resumen rápido: A weirdly convincing slice of Bali dropped into a dry Tenerife hillside—come for the pool, stay for the silence, but rent a car or you're stranded.

Reseñado por @chopandtravel: I stayed in this duplex suite and it felt huge compared to standard hotels. The Balinese decor is super unique for Tenerife, and having two private terraces was a game-changer for relaxing. The pool area is stunning—definitely the highlight of the trip!

The hype

Travelers are obsessed with the pool area and the 'chill' vibe, but constantly complain about the hard beds and the need for taxis.

Reality check

The 'heated' pool is warm enough for winter swimming (rare in Tenerife), but the on-site restaurant 'Pura' is overpriced and underwhelming compared to local spots.

  • You prefer a book and a sunset view over a club and a shot
  • You are renting a car and want free, easy parking (a nightmare elsewhere)
  • You need a separate living room and kitchen to handle kids or remote work

Limpieza y Mantenimiento

8.5
  • Housekeeping: Good but inconsistent due to the 'opt-in' policy. You have to manage them if you want daily service.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Generally spotless, though some grout lines show the hotel's age (20+ years).
  • Maintenance: The 'rustic' Balinese look hides wear and tear well, but expect some chipped tiles and scuffed wood.
  • Linens & towels: Clean but basic. Towels can be a bit scratchy; pool towels require a deposit.
  • Odors & scents: Lobby smells of incense (on brand); rooms are neutral but can get musty if closed up too long.

  • Furniture dragging from the apartment above (tiled floors amplify everything)
  • Early morning housekeeping carts in the corridors

Antes de reservar

Es bueno saberlo

  • The hotel runs a free shuttle to Los Cristianos/Las Américas, but it stops running in the early evening—plan your return trip via taxi (~€10-12).
  • There is a small mini-market on site, but it's pricey. Stop at the Mercadona or Lidl in Chayofa/Cabo Blanco on your way up.
  • A €100 deposit per room is often required at check-in (credit card hold).

Qué llevar

  • A decent chef's knife and Aeropress if you plan to cook—the kitchen gear is basic
  • Good walking shoes—the 'Bali' stone paths are uneven and slippery when wet

Genio de Habitaciones

Mejores opciones

  • Upper floor apartments in Block 3 or 4 for the best sea views and privacy
  • Pool-side suites if you have kids and want to monitor them from your terrace (but sacrifice privacy)

Habitaciones a evitar

  • Ground floor units near the reception/bar area—everyone walks past your window
  • Rooms facing the back road (Calle Armiche) if you want total silence from morning traffic

Genio de Solicitud de Habitación – copiar y pegar

I am requesting an Upper Floor apartment, ideally in Block 3 or 4, facing the pool/ocean. Please avoid ground floor units with high foot traffic. I would appreciate a double bed setup rather than two singles if possible.

Preguntas frecuentes y consejos ocultos

Todo lo que realmente quieres saber antes de reservar.

Is the pool actually heated?

Yes, and it's one of the few in Tenerife that actually feels warm (around 24-26°C) in winter, unlike many that claim to be heated but are freezing.

Can I walk to the beach?

No. It is a 4km walk downhill on busy roads. You need the shuttle, a car, or a taxi.

Is there air conditioning?

Yes, all apartments have AC, but it can be weak in the height of summer. Ceiling fans are also provided.

Is it all-inclusive?

No. It is self-catering or bed & breakfast. There is a restaurant, but you pay as you go.

Is the wifi good enough for work?

It's decent (free), but can be spotty in the bedrooms. It works best in the living areas and near the pool.

Are there bugs?

It's the Canaries, so the occasional 'cucaracha' (cockroach) is possible, especially on ground floors. It's not an infestation, just island life.

Consejos de Insiders

  • Save money on taxis: The public bus #418 stops just a 4-minute walk away (Rotonda Mojón) and runs until 1:24 AM from the coast.

  • Don't pay for the hotel breakfast (€12-15) every day. The pool bar serves decent snacks, or you can buy fresh bread and eggs at the mini-market for a fraction of the price.

  • The 'Green Policy' means if you don't explicitly ask for cleaning, they might skip your room. Put the sign out if you want service.

5 cosas que debes saber antes de ir

  • 💡The 'Gym' is literally a stuffy basement room accessed through the garage with equipment from 2005.

  • 💡The 'Sea View' is beautiful but distant—you are looking at the ocean over a highway and other buildings.

  • 💡The Jacuzzis in the 'Suite with Jacuzzi' are often lukewarm, not hot-tub hot.

  • 💡There is a 'courtesy room' with showers available if you have a late flight after checkout.

  • 💡The stone statues and decor are authentic imports from Bali, which is why they look so weathered and real.
