Villas are actual treehouses on stilts with private infinity pools
Petite Anse is arguably the most beautiful swimmable beach on Mahé
The hilltop spa offers the best sunset views on the entire island
Resumen rápido: It’s a vertical resort that requires a buggy for everything, but the privacy and views are worth the logistical hassle.
Reseñado por @mervetuestuen: I was blown away by this villa. The way the bathroom opens up right onto the private pool deck is genius. I spent hours just soaking in the tub and staring at that turquoise bay. It felt incredibly private and luxurious.

The hype
Guests are obsessed with the 'Jurassic Park' lushness and the villa privacy, often citing it as a bucket-list stay.
Reality check
The 'rustic' luxury style is starting to show its age (opened 2009) with some wear on decks and furniture, and the buggy service can be frustratingly slow during peak hours.
You value privacy above all else
You love the idea of a private pool with an ocean view
You are physically fit or patient with shuttle services
Limpieza y Mantenimiento
9.2
Housekeeping: Twice-daily service is standard and thorough, though the jungle setting means leaves and bugs on the deck are inevitable.
Bathroom hygiene: Immaculate. Deep soaking tubs with views are a highlight, and toiletries are high-end.
Maintenance: Generally excellent, though some guests note minor wear on wooden decks due to the harsh tropical climate.
Garden View Villas (darker, less breeze, more bugs, no ocean view)
Villas near the main pool/Kannel restaurant if you want total seclusion

“I am celebrating a special occasion and would appreciate a 'Serenity Villa' or a high-elevation 'Hilltop Ocean View' villa. Privacy is our top priority, so please avoid villas directly overlooking the resort pathways or the main pool area.”
Preguntas frecuentes y consejos ocultos
Todo lo que realmente quieres saber antes de reservar.
Is the beach private?
Technically no. All beaches in Seychelles are public. However, land access is controlled by the hotel, so non-guests must register at the gate and walk 15 minutes, keeping crowds very low.
Do I need a car?
Not for the resort itself (you use buggies), but renting a car is highly recommended for exploring Mahé's other beaches and local restaurants.
Is it kid-friendly?
Surprisingly yes. The 'Kids For All Seasons' club is excellent, and they have a tortoise sanctuary, though the steep terrain requires vigilance with toddlers.
How far is the airport?
About a 30-40 minute drive on winding, narrow roads. The resort can arrange a transfer, or you can take a taxi.
Can I walk to restaurants outside the hotel?
No. The resort is isolated. You will need a taxi or rental car to get to nearby dining spots like Maria's Rock Cafeteria.
Is there a dress code?
Resort casual. Men usually need long trousers for dinner at ZEZ, but Kannel is more relaxed.
Consejos de Insiders
✨
Visit the rooftop of the spa for the absolute best sunset photo op on the property, even if you don't have a treatment booked.
✨
Ask for a villa higher up the hill for better breezes, which helps keep the mosquitoes away.
✨
The 'Steak Shack' on the beach is the best spot for a relaxed dinner with sand between your toes.
5 cosas que debes saber antes de ir
💡The fruit bats are huge and active at dusk—it's cool, not scary, but surprising if you aren't expecting it.
💡The 'Garden View' villas can feel a bit claustrophobic and damp due to the dense jungle canopy.
💡You can visit the nearby Club Liberté Casino for a change of pace (and sushi) if the resort gets too quiet.
💡The walk from the gate to the beach for non-guests is steep and long, which effectively keeps the beach semi-private.
💡Room service breakfast on your private villa deck is often better than the buffet at ZEZ due to the view and privacy.
