以下の場合は予約してください You're hiking the High Trail and want the absolute best sunrise view of Yulong Snow Mountain without trekking all the way to Halfway Guesthouse on day one.
人々が愛する理由
The 'Tigerbucks' rooftop coffee terrace with direct views of the 13 peaks
Electric blankets in every room (a lifesaver in the mountains)
Home-cooked Naxi food that tastes like heaven after the '28 Bends' climb
クイックテイク: A legendary hiker hostel that has upgraded to 'mountain boutique' status—meaning you get a hot shower and a view, but the walls are still thin and the mattress is firm.
@JH938 によるレビュー: I’ve never stayed anywhere like this. Waking up in the clouds at Tiger Leaping Gorge was surreal. The stone tub overlooking the mountains is the ultimate disconnect—just you, the mist, and total silence. It’s not just a room; it’s a whole mood.

The hype
Hikers universally praise the stunning balcony views and the relief of a hot meal after the climb.
Reality check
Sound insulation is 'average' at best—you will hear your neighbors packing up at 6 AM.
You prioritize epic mountain sunrises over luxury amenities
You want a social atmosphere to meet other trekkers
You need a guaranteed hot shower and a heated bed after hiking
清潔さと保守管理
8.5
Housekeeping: Rooms are cleaned daily and are surprisingly dust-free for a mountain lodge.
Bathroom hygiene: Bathrooms are tiled and clean; grout is generally good. Wet room floors dry relatively fast.
Maintenance: Rustic but functional. You might find a loose handle or creaky board, but nothing broken.
Linens & towels: Sheets are clean and crisp. Towels are provided but can be on the thinner/older side.
Odors & scents: Fresh mountain air. No musty smells reported, though wood smoke from the kitchen is common outside.

The guesthouse is now accessible by car via a back road, meaning you can 'cheat' the hike or have luggage driven up.
They accept WeChat Pay and Alipay, but carrying cash is smart for backup.
Dinner orders are taken early; don't arrive too late or the kitchen might be closing.

“I am hiking the gorge and would love a room on the upper floor with a private balcony facing Yulong Snow Mountain. Quiet is a priority if possible.”
FAQ と隠された便利な使い方
ご予約前に本当に知りたいことすべて
Do I need to hike to get there?
Not anymore. While most guests hike the High Trail, there is now a road leading to Yongsheng Village, so you can take a taxi directly from Qiaotou or Lijiang.
Is there heating in the rooms?
There is no central heating, but beds are equipped with electric blankets which are very effective. Some premium rooms have AC/heater units.
Can I store my luggage?
Yes, but most hikers leave big bags at Jane's or Tina's Guesthouse at the bottom of the gorge and only hike with a day pack. Tea Horse can help arrange luggage transport.
Is the water safe to drink?
No, do not drink tap water. The guesthouse sells bottled water and beer, and provides boiled water for tea.
How far is it to the next stop?
It's about a 2-hour relatively flat hike to Halfway Guesthouse, or 4-5 hours down to Tina's Guesthouse.
Are there private bathrooms?
Yes, most private rooms have ensuite bathrooms (wet room style). Dorms and basic rooms share facilities.
インサイダー情報
✨
The 'Tigerbucks' coffee stand on the roof isn't just a gimmick; the coffee is surprisingly decent and the view is better than any Starbucks on earth.
✨
Ask the staff to call Tina's Guesthouse to book your bus ticket back to Lijiang/Shangri-La for the next day.
✨
If you arrive early, grab a beer and sit on the terrace—the sunset lighting on the mountain peaks changes rapidly and is spectacular.
行く前に知っておくべき5つのこと
💡The '28 Bends' trail ends shortly before you arrive, so the arrival feels like a victory lap.
💡You can buy marijuana from local Naxi women on the trail just before the guesthouse (not legal, but openly sold).
💡The 'Soundproof' claim on booking sites is a translation error; the walls are definitely not soundproof.
💡They have their own vegetable garden and chicken coop, so the ingredients are genuinely farm-to-table.
💡The family who runs it has been there since the trail opened and can arrange practically any transport you need.
