The only hotel in the CBD with a rooftop tennis court
Harry Seidler's dizzying, instagrammable atrium design
Snel Overzicht: A grand 80s dame that's still the best location in town, even if she's showing a few wrinkles in the bathrooms.
Beoordeeld door @kazplum: I took the glass elevator up and the atrium view literally made me dizzy in the best way. It feels huge inside. Plus, the Brisbane Quarter lights downstairs are such a vibe at night—super convenient for dinner.

The hype
Unbeatable location and friendly staff, but the rooms feel tired compared to the shiny new builds nearby.
Reality check
The 'refurbished' rooms still have small, dated bathrooms with shower-over-tub setups that feel very 1990.
You're a shopaholic who wants to drop bags off mid-day
You play tennis and want a match among skyscrapers
You're a Hilton Honors Diamond member chasing lounge access
Schoonmaak & Onderhoud
7.8
Housekeeping: Generally reliable daily service, though some reports of missed dusting on high ledges.
Bathroom hygiene: Clean but aged. Grout lines in the older tiled bathrooms can look discolored even when scrubbed.
Maintenance: The building is aging. Expect occasional scuffs on skirting boards or slow-draining sinks.
Linens & towels: Crisp and high quality, typical Hilton standard.
Odors & scents: Lobby smells of fresh florals and expensive perfume; rooms are generally neutral but can smell musty if AC filters aren't fresh.

Executive Rooms (Levels 23-25) for lounge access and better soundproofing
Room 2106 (or similar xx06 stack) for a direct view of Brisbane City Hall

Lower floors (6-10) near the atrium railing – maximum noise exposure
Rooms with connecting doors if you aren't booking both sides

“I would appreciate a room on a high floor (20+) away from the elevators. If available, a room in the '06' stack facing City Hall would be ideal. Please ensure no connecting door if possible.”
Veelgestelde vragen & Verborgen tips
Alles wat je eigenlijk wilt weten voordat je boekt.
Is the pool actually heated?
Yes, the outdoor lap pool uses Myrtha technology and is heated to a comfortable 28°C, even in July (winter).
How bad is the parking situation?
Expensive and tight. Valet is ~$58 AUD. Self-park at the Myer Centre next door for half the price if you book online.
Does the hotel have a club lounge?
Yes, on Level 25. It offers breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening canapés/drinks. Views are stellar; food is decent but not dinner-replacement level.
Are the rooms renovated?
Technically yes, but it was a 'soft' refresh. Carpets and furniture are updated, but the small bathroom footprints and tub/shower combos remain.
Is it noisy?
It can be. The open atrium means noise from the lobby restaurant travels. Ask for a high floor to mitigate this.
Can I walk to South Bank?
Easily. It's a 10-15 minute walk across the Victoria Bridge to the museums, beach, and performing arts center.

Skip the hotel breakfast coffee; walk 2 mins to 'Strauss' in the laneway for a proper flat white.
✨
The tennis court is free for guests but must be booked at the concierge – do it at check-in.
✨
Use the 'secret' pedestrian elevator to drop straight into the middle of Queen Street Mall shopping.
5 dingen die je moet weten voordat je gaat
💡The tennis court is the only one in the entire CBD – playing a set surrounded by skyscrapers is surreal.
💡The glass elevators are iconic but painfully slow during peak checkout times.
💡The 'Vintaged' bar makes an incredible Old Fashioned, but the price tag matches the quality.
💡You can hear the 'ding' of the elevators from rooms close to the atrium core.
💡The driveway is a nightmare for Ubers; it's often clogged with valet cars.
