  • Unbeatable location in the heart of Santa Cruz—you can practically touch the Giralda
  • Rooftop pool and 'Pura Vida' terrace offer some of the best sunset views in Seville
  • Historic charm with Roman mosaics and Arab columns preserved inside the hotel

Snel Overzicht: A stunning historic shell with a killer rooftop that unfortunately doubles as a sleep-deprivation device for the rooms below.

Beoordeeld door @lifeonpointsI checked into Los Seises and immediately fell in love with the split-level layout—it felt like my own little Seville apartment. The courtyard is a total oasis from the heat, and honestly, I took the 'Today has been cancelled' sign above the bed very literally. Such a vibe.

The hype

Guests are obsessed with the Giralda views and the friendly staff (shoutout to Abde), but the noise levels and aging room details leave a bitter aftertaste.

Reality check

You are paying for the address and the roof; the rooms themselves feel like a budget hotel in a fancy costume.

  • You thrive on rooftop energy and plan to be out late anyway
  • You want to walk less than 5 minutes to the Alcázar and Cathedral
  • You appreciate architectural history (Roman ruins in the lobby)

Schoonmaak & Onderhoud

6
  • Housekeeping: Inconsistent. Daily service happens, but deep cleaning (dusting high spots, under beds) is often missed.
  • Bathroom hygiene: The biggest weak point. Complaints of mold in grout, sewer smells, and water stains are too common.
  • Maintenance: Tired. Peeling paint, scuffed walls, and 'threadbare' towels are frequent complaints.
  • Linens & towels: Towels are often described as grey and scratchy rather than fluffy white.
  • Odors & scents: Lobby smells nice (orange blossom), but rooms can smell musty or like old plumbing.

  • Rooftop bar 'Pura Vida' (music/bass until late)
  • Giralda bells (charming but loud)
  • Internal hallway noise due to thin doors

Voordat je boekt

Goed om te weten

  • The pool is for dipping, not swimming—it's small and unheated.
  • Breakfast is around €20-25; it's decent but you can find better tostadas for €5 nearby.
  • The hotel is a maze of corridors due to its historic layout—expect a walk to your room.

Wat je mee moet nemen

  • High-fidelity earplugs (non-negotiable)
  • European power adapter (outlets can be scarce)
  • Walking shoes—taxis can't drop you at the door

Kamer Genie

Beste keuzes

  • Rooms 220-226 (tucked away from the worst of the rooftop noise)
  • Legend Terrace rooms (if you prioritize your own private view over silence)

Kamers om te vermijden

  • Top-floor rooms directly under the pool/bar deck (vibration and noise)
  • Interior rooms with no view (can feel claustrophobic)

I am a light sleeper and requesting a quiet room on a lower floor, specifically in the 220-226 block if possible, away from the rooftop bar vibration.

Veelgestelde vragen & Verborgen tips

Alles wat je eigenlijk wilt weten voordat je boekt.

Is the pool heated?

No. It's refreshing in July, but an ice bath in January.

Can I park at the hotel?

Technically yes, but don't. The 'garage' is hard to reach through tiny streets. Park at the public lot on Avenida de Roma and walk/taxi.

Is it good for families?

Mixed. The location is easy, but the noise and lack of kid-friendly amenities make it a tough sell for young children.

Does the AC work well?

It struggles. In July/August, rooms can stay warm even with it blasting.

Is there a resort fee?

No explicit resort fee, but breakfast and parking are pricey add-ons.

How close is the Cathedral?

Insanely close. You are practically in its shadow. 150 meters away.

Tips van Insiders

  • Skip the hotel breakfast and go to 'La Canasta' nearby for a fraction of the price.

  • The 'Sherry' rooms are larger (30m²) than the 'Azahar' rooms (20m²)—worth the upgrade for luggage space.

  • Sunday evenings often feature acoustic flamenco on the rooftop—a free perk if you're a guest.

5 dingen die je moet weten voordat je gaat

  • 💡The Roman mosaic floor in the breakfast area is legitimate 3rd-century history, not a replica.

  • 💡The 'double beds' are often just two twins pushed together that slide apart.

  • 💡Water pressure in the showers can be temperamental on upper floors.

  • 💡There is a 'food market' concept on the roof, but it's pricey for small portions.

  • 💡You might smell the sewers in the bathroom—a common issue in old Seville plumbing.
