Yyteri Resort & Camping

$80-200/ natt

Boka detta om You want a nostalgic, self-sufficient beach holiday right on Finland's most famous dunes without the hotel price tag.

Varför människor älskar det

  • Direct access to the stunning Yyteri sand dunes (300m walk)
  • Holiday cottages come with private saunas and full kitchens
  • Laid-back, community vibe with minigolf and pedal cars for kids

Snabb Överblick: It’s a glorified campground with great cabins, so bring your own sheets and don't expect a concierge.

Recenserat av @bleetary_travelsI stayed in this adorable pink cottage and it was the ultimate summer vibe. The boardwalk to the beach is right there, making sunset picnics so easy. We loved the pizza at the resort too—perfect end to a beach day.

The hype

Families love the location and the freedom for kids to roam, but everyone hates the extra fees for basic necessities.

Reality check

The 'Camping Cottages' are basic wooden tents with no water; if you want a toilet, you must book a 'Holiday Cottage' or walk to the service building.

  • You are a DIY traveler who prefers grilling on a porch to a hotel buffet
  • You have active kids who can entertain themselves with forests and dunes
  • You want a private sauna in your cabin for a fraction of a spa hotel price

Renlighet & Underhåll

7.5
  • Housekeeping: Non-existent during stay. You arrive to a clean cottage, but maintaining it is 100% on you.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Private cottage bathrooms are generally clean. Shared service building showers can get sandy and grim in peak July.
  • Maintenance: Most Holiday Cottages are renovated and in good shape. Camping cottages are aging and feel 'rustic'.
  • Linens & towels: If you rent them, they are industrial laundry clean but not luxurious. Better to bring your own.
  • Odors & scents: Fresh pine forest air outside. Some older cabins can have a faint musty wood smell.

Innan du bokar

Bra att veta

  • Reception has limited hours; late arrivals must arrange key pickup in advance.
  • The nearest grocery store is a K-Market in Pihlava (5km away) or Kaanaa (smaller selection).
  • Bus 34 runs hourly from Pori center to Yyteri, making it accessible without a car if you pack light.

Vad du ska packa

  • Bed linens and towels (to save €9/person)
  • Dish soap, sponge, and toilet paper (starter kits are meager)
  • Eye mask (summer sun stays up late)
  • Flip flops for the shared showers (if in a camping cottage)

Rum Genie

Bästa val

  • Holiday Cottage (Lomamökki) - Includes private sauna, kitchen, and bathroom. Essential for winter or comfort.
  • Log Cottage (Hirsimökki) - A step up from camping cabins, usually has a fridge but shared bathroom.

Rum att undvika

  • Camping Cottages (Leirintämökki) - No running water, no toilet. Only book if you are mentally prepared for a 'hard shell tent' experience.

I would like to request a Holiday Cottage away from the main service building and playground for a quieter stay. If available, a unit with a recently renovated terrace would be appreciated.

Insider-tips

  • Book the private 'Ankkuri' sauna by Lake Ruutujärvi for a group evening—it's separate from the cottages and very atmospheric.

  • In winter, the sledding hills on the dunes are legendary if there's snow.

  • Cafe Kallo (4km away) is open weekends year-round and offers the best sea views and donuts in the region.

5 saker du bör veta innan du åker

  • 💡The 'Ant Invasion' in summer is real in some kitchenettes; keep food sealed tight.

  • 💡You have to take your own trash to the waste point at the end of your stay or risk a fine.

  • 💡The shared kitchen in the service building can get very crowded and messy during July peak hours.

  • 💡Security guards patrol, but they are often hesitant to shut down loud parties effectively.

  • 💡The 'Winter-proof' cottages are warm, but the floors can be cold—bring wool socks.
