Videokierros tekijältä @shannonknight27I stayed here solo and it was a game-changer. The smart pod features are so cool—the bed actually sits up to wake you! It's super clean, the free beer hour is a vibe, and being able to walk home from Shibuya nightlife saved me so much money.

Discover why The Millennials Shibuya is the ultimate hack for solo travelers in Tokyo. This isn't your average hostel; it's a high-tech sanctuary featuring 'Smart Pods' controlled by an iPod, allowing you to adjust lighting and even set a silent alarm where the bed gently rises to wake you. Located right in the heart of Shibuya, just steps from the famous Scramble Crossing, this property solves the biggest headache of Tokyo nightlife: the lack of trains after 1 AM. By staying here, you avoid expensive taxi fares and can walk home safely. The facilities are spotless, featuring spa-quality shared bathrooms, a female-only floor option for extra security, and a co-working space that attracts digital nomads. The daily free draft beer hour (5:30-6:30 PM) offers the perfect balance of socializing without the chaos of a party hostel. Whether you're a flashpacker or a first-time solo traveler, the privacy, cleanliness, and location make it worth the premium price tag.

I absolutely love this place. The privacy that you got was just like unmatched. This is a more realistic shot with all my stuff everywhere but my suitcase went down the bottom, everything else was up top. The other beds they were all next to each other but they were completely, completely private. Which was cool, I always wanted to stay in something like this. And I've seen other capsule hostels and typically they're like bunk bed style, but this was nice because you get to put all your stuff underneath and not have to share it with anybody else. Bathroom was just a quick walk around the corner. Showers were unbelievably clean. I didn't even use my own shampoo and conditioner cause theirs were so good. Also a really clean area to get ready and the outlets were the same as US outlets so that was really convenient. They also provided towels in the lobby and you can grab as many as you need. They also had laundry which saved my life. And arguably the best part of this trip, the Japanese toilets, which we clearly can't figure out in America cause they do this. It was definitely more of a working hostel as opposed to a party hostel. That ended up being fine because they provide free draft beer in the lobby from 5:30 to 6:30 every night which was a really great way to meet people. For anyone who says 'oh I can't stay in a hostel Shannon', look at the privacy. You just pull the shade down, it's your own room. You control the lighting and position of the bed with this iPod they give you. Cause it's such close quarters instead of setting an alarm you can just set the bed to rise up when you want to wake up. Can't say enough good things about this place. 70 bucks a night, I would absolutely stay here again, 10 out of 10. I booked on Hostelworld, that's probably the best way to go. It can probably range from like 70 bucks to 100 bucks depending on time of the week that you go, weekends being more expensive obviously. This hostel was a tad more expensive than the other hostels but I honestly liked the privacy aspect of it. Plus it's in the Shibuya area which is where all the action is. It's actually where the Shibuya Scramble Crossing is, which is the biggest pedestrian crossing in the world. Trains stop running at 1am so I would stay in an area where the nightlife is, which is Shibuya or Shinjuku. That way you don't have to spend a ton of money on a cab home because cabs are not cheap in Tokyo. Which is also why I justified spending a little bit more on a hostel so I could walk home if I needed to. You can either book female only or a mixed dorm, I booked female only. Happy to answer any more questions about this trip, it absolutely changed my life and I hope everyone gets to experience it.
