  • Direct access to a postcard-perfect white sand lagoon
  • Free inflatable water park and excellent kids' club
  • Easy 5-minute walk to Musket Cove for better dining options

Tóm tắt nhanh: A chaotic, joyful 3-star family summer camp set on a world-class 5-star beach.

Được đánh giá bởi @Tony-BookDirectI stayed in Room 267 and loved how close it was to the water. The room is super simple and a bit rustic, but honestly, you spend all day outside anyway. Perfect spot if you want that laid-back island life without the stuffy luxury feel.

The hype

Families love the location and activities, but almost everyone complains about tired rooms and average food.

Reality check

The 'Garden Rooms' are often described as dark and dated with doors that stick and showers that don't drain well.

  • You are traveling with active kids under 12
  • You prioritize beach access over luxury interiors
  • You want a social, bustling resort vibe

Vệ sinh & Bảo dưỡng

  • Housekeeping: Inconsistent. Some guests report missed days or 'non-existent' service unless requested.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Functional but tired. Complaints of slow drains, worn grout, and occasional musty smells.
  • Maintenance: Aging infrastructure. Sticking doors and noisy air conditioners are common complaints.
  • Linens & towels: Clean but basic. Don't expect plush robes; towels can be scarce during peak turnover times.
  • Odors & scents: Generally fresh ocean air, but some Garden Rooms have a lingering damp/musty smell.

Thông tin hữu ích

  • Ferry transfers from Port Denarau take 50 minutes and cost extra
  • There is a 3% surcharge on credit card payments at the resort
  • You can walk to Musket Cove Resort (5 mins) for a change of scenery and better food

Cần mang những gì

  • High-strength DEET insect repellent (mosquitoes can be fierce)
  • Reef shoes (coral rubble can be sharp at low tide)
  • Your own snacks/cereal (island prices are high and variety is low)

  • Beachfront Hotel Rooms (Ground Floor) – closest to the new marina and easy stroller access
  • Beachfront Bures – worth the splurge to be steps from the sand

Phòng nên tránh

  • Studio Garden Bures – often interconnecting, meaning more noise
  • Garden Rooms – furthest from the beach and most frequently cited as 'tired' or 'musty'

Genie Yêu Cầu Phòng – sao chép & dán

I am requesting a 'recently renovated' unit, preferably a Beachfront Hotel Room on the ground floor. Please avoid interconnecting rooms if possible due to noise sensitivity.

FAQ & Những mẹo ẩn

Mọi thứ bạn thực sự muốn biết trước khi đặt phòng.

Is the water safe to drink?

No. Tap water is for bathing only. You get one free bottle on arrival; after that, you must buy it or use refill stations at bars.

Is there free WiFi?

Only in public areas like the lobby and restaurants. In-room WiFi costs extra (approx. FJD 15 per 24 hours).

Can I eat at other resorts?

Yes! Musket Cove is a short walk away and offers 'Dick's Place' and the 'Trader Cafe' which many guests prefer over Plantation's buffet.

Is it adults-only?

Absolutely not. It is arguably the most kid-centric resort in Fiji. For adults-only, book Lomani Island Resort next door.

Are there hidden fees?

Yes. Transfers, WiFi, drinking water, and non-motorized sports gear deposits can add up.

How bad are the bugs?

Mosquitoes are present and dengue is a known risk in Fiji. The resort fogs daily, but you must wear repellent, especially at dusk.

Mẹo Nội Tại

  • Buy water and snacks at the 'Trader General Store' at Musket Cove—it's often better stocked and priced than the resort shop.

  • The 'Lomani Lookout' trail offers a great workout and stunning views, starting just behind the resort.

  • Book the 'Tavola' restaurant for dinner immediately upon arrival; it's the best on-site option and fills up fast.

5 điều cần biết trước khi bạn đi

  • 💡The 'resort time' check-in process can be agonizingly slow when a full ferry arrives.

  • 💡You have to pay a deposit for towels and snorkeling gear.

  • 💡The 'Garden Rooms' are essentially motel-style blocks, not individual huts.

  • 💡At low tide, the swimming beach becomes a mudflat/coral shelf—you need to time your swims.

  • 💡The birds at breakfast are not cute; they are aggressive scavengers that will land on your toast.
