  • Genuine 1642 city palace architecture with high ceilings and split levels
  • Each room is individually styled with real antiques by owner Bert Degenaar
  • Unbeatable location: you are literally steps from the Domplein and canals

快速了解: It's a stunning museum you can sleep in, but the 17th-century authenticity includes steep stairs, squeaky floors, and zero elevators.

@liliesinthesurf 的评论I took a leap to travel solo and landed in this absolute dream of a room at Hotel Beijers. The high ceilings and antique details made me feel like I was living in a period drama. It was the perfect reward for the journey—truly felt like the main character.

The hype

Guests adore the 'Bridgerton' vibes and antique decor, but often struggle with the stairs and street noise.

Reality check

The 'breakfast' is often a picnic basket delivered to your door because there is no dining room, which some find charming and others find inconvenient.

  • You love history and don't mind sacrificing modern conveniences for atmosphere
  • You want to be in the absolute center of the action
  • You enjoy boutique quirks like split-level rooms and heavy velvet drapes

清洁与维护

9
  • Housekeeping: Daily and thorough; guests consistently rate it 'spotless'.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Modern bathrooms (renovated) contrast with the antique rooms; very clean grout and glass.
  • Maintenance: Generally good, though some guests note squeaky floorboards or drafty historic windows.
  • Linens & towels: Crisp, high-quality bedding; towels are fresh.
  • Odors & scents: Neutral to fresh; no complaints of mustiness despite the building's age.

  • Slippers (the wooden floors can be chilly and squeaky)

房间精灵

最佳选择

  • Suite 10 (The Attic Suite): Incredible views of the Dom Tower, but requires the most stair climbing.
  • Suite 01: First floor with high ceilings and a fireplace, easier access.
  • Comfort Rooms: Good balance of space (35-48m²) and antique styling.

需要避免的房间

  • Cellar Suite: Can feel dark and damp; access is via a very steep stair down from the street.
  • Cosy Rooms: Very compact (16m²), tight for two people with large suitcases.

I would love to request a room on a lower floor if possible due to the stairs, or alternatively, the 'Pink' or 'Blue' Superior Room for the best antique character. Please avoid the Cellar Suite.

常见问题和隐藏提示

预订前您真正想了解的一切。

Is there an elevator?

No. This is a monumental building from 1642. Stairs are steep and narrow.

Is there air conditioning?

Most rooms do not have AC; they provide fans, but it can get warm in peak summer.

Where do I park?

No on-site parking. Use P+R Utrecht Science Park (€6.30/24h incl. tram) for a deal, or P1 Hoog Catharijne (~€35/day) for proximity.

Is breakfast included?

Usually an add-on (~€17.50). It's a basket delivered to your room, not a buffet.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, dogs are allowed for a fee of €20 per stay.

What is the difference between Hotel Beijers and Petit Beijers?

Hotel Beijers is the main 'City Palace' at Achter Sint Pieter 140. Petit Beijers is a smaller sister property nearby at Vismarkt.

内部人士建议

  • The 'Cellar Suite' has its own private entrance from the street, which offers privacy but feels less connected to the hotel.

  • If you arrive early, you can drop bags, but you might have to ring a doorbell and wait as the desk isn't always manned.

  • Ask for a room facing the courtyard (B&B rooms) if you want to escape the street noise.

出发前需要了解的5件事

  • 💡The 'reception' is basically a desk in the hallway; it feels more like a guest house than a hotel.

  • 💡The stairs are not just steep; they are 'Dutch steep' (almost ladder-like in parts).

  • 💡You might get a room with a split-level layout where the bathroom is up or down a few steps inside the room.

  • 💡The antique furniture is real, meaning drawers might stick or chairs might be fragile.

  • 💡There is no lobby or lounge to hang out in; your room is your only space.
