Is the resort fully open after Hurricane Melissa?
Yes, it officially reopened Dec 1, 2025. However, landscaping is still regrowing and some minor repairs are ongoing as of Feb 2026.
Is it really couples only?
Strictly. No singles, no kids. You must be a couple (any gender combination) to book.
Are the vendors on the beach annoying?
Yes. It's a public beach. A polite 'No thank you' works, but if you sit in the front row, expect constant offers for patties, bracelets, and 'herbal' remedies.
Do the rooms have AC?
Yes, all rooms have AC, but the Atrium suites have screened louvered windows (no glass) in the living area, so the AC fights the humidity a bit.
Is the food actually good?
It's above average for an all-inclusive. Feathers is legit fine dining. The buffet (The Palms) is repetitive but fresh. The fruit and juice bar is a highlight.
Do I need to tip?
No. Tipping is strictly forbidden for resort staff. You can tip the airport shuttle driver and luggage porters at the airport, though.
