Is the water clear for swimming?
Generally yes, but it can be murky depending on the tide and season. It's not the Maldives crystal clear, but it's clean. The sand is coarse with broken shells.
How much is food?
Expensive. Expect ~$160+ per person for a BBQ dinner, ~$30-40 for mains, and ~$10 for cocktails. A beer is around 100k VND (~$4).
Can I get there by car?
No. You must take the resort's speedboat (20 mins) from their lounge in Nha Trang. The drive to the lounge from Cam Ranh airport is ~60 mins.
Are there bugs in the room?
Yes. It's an open-concept eco-resort. You will see geckos (they eat the mosquitoes!) and ants. Mosquito nets are provided over beds.
Is it kid-friendly?
Surprisingly yes. There is a 'Vooc Village' kids club and activities like statue painting, but the terrain is tough for toddlers.
What is the 'Rock Retreat'?
It's a massive private villa complex set on its own bay, accessible by a private walkway or boat. The ultimate splurge.
