Join us for a magical family stay at the Grand Curiosa Hotel Liseberg in Gothenburg. From the moment we walked in, the massive slide in the reception became an instant favorite—Hudson must have gone down it 100 times! The entire hotel features whimsical Alice in Wonderland theming that extends to the bedrooms, where the kids were thrilled with their cozy bunk beds. We spent hours in the huge playroom, which is packed with air hockey, football tables, and a giant train track. Dining here is a treat; the cafe serves beautiful cakes, and the breakfast buffet is massive, featuring everything from pancakes to a dedicated allergy-friendly section. The highlight for us was the merry-go-round located right inside the restaurant, keeping the little ones happy while we enjoyed our food. There's even a cinema showing movies and character meet-and-greets in the hallways. It’s the perfect spot for a stress-free family adventure.

We recently stayed at the Grand Curiosa Hotel Liseberg and it was absolutely incredible. This place is spot on for families. First of all you walk into the reception and there is a slide which Hudson must have gone on about 100 times while we were there. He was running there every morning so excited to make his way down to reception. Next we headed up to our bedrooms which were lovely. All of their hotel is decorated in the style of Alice in Wonderland and it is magical. The kids were very excited about their bunk beds and said Night Night even though it was about 10 o'clock in the morning. Downstairs is a massive playroom which includes an air hockey table, a shootout football table, some colouring, toys and a massive brio train track. The reception as you can see is Alice in Wonderland themed with a beautiful cafe that served up the most incredible cakes. Then we headed down for breakfast. Breakfast was as you would expect from an incredible hotel with lots and lots of choices for everybody including pancakes with all the toppings and an amazing allergy table. The boys ate about three courses each time and I was very happy to have a cinnamon bun for breakfast. The final pièce de résistance is the merry go round which is right in the middle of the restaurant. This is open throughout the day in different spells. There's even a cinema and the kids were quite happy to watch this in Swedish. Finally just before we headed home there were even some characters in the corridor to meet the kids.
