Why People Love It

  • It sits at Shuttle Stop 9, meaning you board first and actually get a seat
  • Elevated position offers panoramic red rock views that lower hotels can't match
  • The Annex building rooms are surprisingly quiet and spacious

Quick Take: A polished-up rebrand of the old Majestic View Lodge that trades walkable nightlife for killer views and shuttle strategy.

Reviewed by @AlexandraHryshyn8635339I stayed here for a Zion trip and was blown away. Waking up, pulling back the curtains, and seeing those massive red rocks right there? Unforgettable. The pool is a dream after a long hike, and the room felt so luxe. Highly recommend booking a mountain view!

Guest Who Stayed Here Said

The hype

Travelers are obsessed with the views and the 'new' feel of the renovated rooms, especially in the Annex.

Reality check

The walls can be thin in the main lodge, and you might hear your neighbors or the hallway traffic.

  • You hate standing on crowded shuttle buses (you board first here)
  • You want a heated pool with a view that actually looks like the brochure
  • You prefer a quiet, 'up-canyon' vibe over the busy tourist strip

Cleanliness & Maintenance

9.5
  • Housekeeping: Daily service is reliable. Recent reviews consistently praise the 'immaculate' state of the rooms.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Sparkling. Grout lines are clean, and the renovation really shows here.
  • Maintenance: Solid. The 'tired' feel of the old lodge is mostly gone, though some exterior wood shows age.
  • Linens & towels: Fresh and crisp, though the pillows are the weak link (too thin).
  • Odors & scents: Neutral and fresh. No lingering 'old lodge' mustiness.

Before you book

Good to know

  • Breakfast is NOT included; expect to pay ~$18/person at Anu.
  • The pool is heated and open year-round, which is a rarity here.
  • Parking is free and plentiful, a huge perk in Springdale.

What to pack

  • Earplugs (just in case you get a ground floor room)
  • Hiking poles (Zion trails are steep)
  • Refillable water bottle (filtered water station in the lobby)

Room Genie

Best picks

  • Annex King Balcony: Located across the street, these are newer, quieter, and have massive bathrooms.
  • Main Lodge Top Floor: Essential if you stay in the main building to avoid overhead foot noise.

Rooms to avoid

  • Ground floor rooms in the Main Lodge (noise transfer from above)
  • Rooms near the ice machine/stairwell in the main building

Room Request Genie – copy & paste

I would love to request a room in the Annex building for the quietest experience. If the Annex is full, a top-floor room in the main lodge is my second choice to avoid foot noise. A view of the canyon is a priority!

FAQ & Hidden tips

Everything you actually want to know before you book.

Is there a resort fee?

No, and parking is free too. This is a rare 'what you see is what you pay' hotel in Zion.

How far is the park entrance?

About 3 miles. You are at Shuttle Stop 9, which takes about 10-15 minutes to ride down to the park entrance (Stop 1).

Is the pool open in winter?

Yes, the outdoor infinity pool is heated and open year-round, offering steam-rising views of the snow-dusted cliffs.

Can I walk to dinner?

Not easily. Most restaurants are 1-2 miles down the road. You'll want to drive or take the town shuttle.

Is it really the old Majestic View Lodge?

Yes. It has been heavily renovated and rebranded as a Hilton Tapestry property, but the 'bones' (and lack of elevators) remain.

Does the room have a fridge?

Yes, all rooms have a mini-fridge and a microwave, which is great for prepping trail snacks.

Insider Tips

  • The 'Annex' building is technically across the street, but it's newer, quieter, and often cheaper.

  • Because you are at Stop 9, you are the FIRST to board the shuttle into the park. You will get a seat while everyone at stops 8-2 stands.

  • The on-site restaurant, Anu, serves surprisingly legit South American/Asian fusion (try the short rib gnocchi).

5 things to know before you go

  • 💡The 'mice' issue from 2023 (under old ownership) seems resolved, but the stigma lingers in old forums — ignore it, it's clean now.

  • 💡The pillows are weirdly flat; ask for extra immediately upon check-in.

  • 💡The 'infinity' pool view is actually over a parking lot, but if you look up, the cliffs are majestic.

  • 💡There is a wildlife museum attached to the property (legacy from the Majestic View days) that is quirky and worth a quick peek.

  • 💡The WiFi in the Annex can be spotty compared to the main lodge.
