Roomer is the platform where travel creators turn their hotel stays into income. Upload a room tour video, and our AI transforms it into a bookable page, an SEO article, and a revenue engine that earns you money every time a traveller books.

For travellers, Roomer means honest content: real rooms filmed by real people, not marketing photos. For creators, Roomer means real money: commission on bookings, ad revenue from articles, and brand deals as you grow. We're building something new in travel. Honest, visual, creator-led. And we're just getting started.

Founder's Story

Roomer started with a volcano…

In 2010, volcanic ash from Iceland shut down airspace across Europe and left me stranded in New York with a hotel reservation I couldn't use and no way to get my money back. I looked for somewhere to resell it. There was nothing. StubHub existed for tickets. Airbnb existed for spaces. But for hotel reservations? A blank. I later found out that 81 million paid-for rooms are cancelled every year in the US alone — all of that value, just disappearing.

That became Roomer. We built the marketplace, scaled to two million hotels, partnered with Kayak, Trivago, and TripAdvisor. It worked.

Then COVID hit, and travel stopped overnight. I spent that time watching something else: creators on Instagram and TikTok completely changing how people discover and choose where to stay. I realised that honest, visual content was becoming the most powerful force in travel. Nobody trusted marketing photos anymore. They trusted people.

So we took everything we'd built and rebuilt it around creators. Not just a marketplace. A platform where travel creators could upload their content, earn from every booking it drives, and build a real income from what they love.

Today, Roomer exists so that the 30 million travel creators producing incredible content around the world can do what they love, get paid for it, and inspire others to travel. I can't think of a better reason to build something.
