Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about creating, booking, and selling on Roomer.
Earning Money
On Roomer, every view of your video can become a real booking β and you earn commission when it does. Social platforms monetise on ads alone; Roomer monetises on the actual transaction your content drives, which means a much higher per-view value.
When someone books a hotel through your video, you earn a share of Roomer's booking commission. The exact percentage is shown in Creator Studio and is locked in at the moment of publish.
Payouts go out on a fixed monthly schedule via Stripe directly to your bank account. Expect your first payout 30-45 days after your first eligible booking clears its check-in window.
Go to Creator Studio > Earnings > Payment Details and connect your Stripe account. Stripe handles KYC and the bank-account link β you never share banking details with Roomer directly.
Creator Studio > Earnings shows real-time booking attribution, pending payouts, and historical statements. You can filter by video, date range, or booking status.
How the AI Works
AURA, Roomer's AI engine, reads your video to generate a description, extract room features, and match it to verified hotel data. Your video is then reviewed and goes live β usually within 1-2 business days.
AURA generates a searchable description from what is actually shown in your video, combined with verified hotel metadata. This helps travellers find the right room and gives your content SEO reach. You can edit or disable AI descriptions from Creator Studio.
Creator Studio is your control panel: upload videos, view analytics, manage payouts, and configure AI settings. Access it from your profile menu once your creator account is verified.
Yes. AURA can generate long-form articles tied to your room tours to help drive organic traffic. These appear on the Roomer magazine and always credit you as the creator with a link back to your profile.
Getting Started
Sign up at the Studio, verify your identity and payment details, then upload your first room tour. Reviews take 1-2 business days before your first video goes live.
From Creator Studio > Profile, you can update your display name, bio, avatar, and links. Changes are live instantly and visible across every video page you have published.
Three things drive views on Roomer: shooting vertically at 1080p, keeping videos under 90 seconds, and filming in well-lit spaces. Regularly replying to comments on your videos boosts retention and ranking too.
Creating Content
Honest, clearly-lit room tours under 90 seconds that show the beds, bathroom, view, and one or two quirks. Avoid heavy filters β travellers want to see the real space.
Open Creator Studio, tap Upload, and select your video file. AURA will auto-fill the description and hotel match; you can edit before publishing. Videos go into review and typically go live within 1-2 business days.
Every video passes a short human review to confirm the room matches the listing and that content meets community standards. Most reviews complete within 1-2 business days β you will get an email when your video is live.
