Rezervă dacă You want the absolute best oceanfront lawn in California and don't mind sharing the view with the public.

De ce o iubesc oamenii

9.2105 recenzii
  • The Mosaic Pool is arguably the most photogenic swim spot in SoCal
  • Direct access to Treasure Island Beach (cleaner and quieter than Main Beach)
  • Service is telepathic—staff remember your name and drink order instantly

Privire rapidă: It’s a masterpiece of Craftsman luxury, but you’re paying $1,500 a night to sleep next to a very popular public walking path.

Evaluat de @femme_foodieI checked into the Montage and was blown away. The bathroom is huge and the bed is super comfy, but stepping onto that balcony to see the endless Pacific Ocean was the highlight of my trip. It’s the perfect spot to disconnect.

The hype

The grounds and service are flawless, but the price tag sets an impossibly high bar that the rooms sometimes struggle to clear.

Reality check

You will hear noise from the public beach path if you book an oceanfront bungalow, especially on weekends.

  • You have a generous budget and want a 'resort bubble' experience
  • You travel with dogs (very pet-friendly, though the fee is $220)
  • You want a pool scene that feels like a Slim Aarons photo

Curățenie și Întreținere

9.2
  • Housekeeping: Twice-daily service is standard and meticulous. Turn-down service includes water and chocolates.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Immaculate marble bathrooms. Deep soaking tubs are spotless.
  • Maintenance: Grounds are manicured to perfection. Main pool had some maintenance in early 2025 but is fully operational.
  • Linens & towels: Fila Casa Egyptian combed cotton towels and high-thread-count linens. consistently fresh.
  • Odors & scents: Lobby smells of fresh flowers and sea breeze. No musty odors reported.

  • Public walking path chatter (daytime/sunset)
  • Loud crashing waves (can be intense in bungalows)
  • Wedding events on the lawn

Înainte să rezervi

Bine de știut

  • The 'Studio' restaurant has reopened as 'Studio Mediterranean' (Wed-Sun) after a long closure—book well in advance.
  • The beach is public. Hotel guests get chair service, but you don't own the sand.
  • There is a free trolley that stops right in front of the hotel to take you downtown.

Ce să împachezi

  • Designer swimwear (the pool scene is a fashion show)
  • Hiking shoes (the coastal trails are legitimate)
  • A light jacket for evenings (ocean breeze gets chilly even in summer)

Geniu pentru Cameră

Selecții de top

  • Ocean Surf or Ocean Horizon rooms on upper floors of the Main Building for better privacy and views over the path
  • Bungalow Suites if you want space, but request an upper level to avoid eye contact with hikers

Camere de evitat

  • Ground-floor bungalows near the main walking path (zero privacy)
  • Horizon View rooms that primarily face the pool if you want quiet during the day

Geniu pentru Cereri de Cameră – copiază și lipește

I would prefer an upper-floor room in the Main Building or a second-story Bungalow to ensure privacy from the public walking path. Please avoid ground-floor units directly adjacent to the Treasure Island Park trail.

Întrebări frecvente și sfaturi ascunse

Tot ceea ce vrei de fapt să știi înainte de a rezerva.

Is the beach private?

No. All California beaches are public. The hotel has a set-up with chairs and umbrellas for guests, but the sand is shared with the public.

How much is parking?

Valet is $75/night with in/out privileges. There is no self-parking for guests on property.

Is it kid-friendly?

Yes, surprisingly so. There's a dedicated 'Paintbox' kids club and a family pool, but the vibe remains upscale.

Can I walk to dinner?

Yes, but options are limited. La Sirena Grill (casual) is across the street. Downtown Laguna is a 10-minute drive.

Is the spa worth the money?

Yes. It's 20,000 sq ft of bliss. The adult-only spa lap pool is a quiet sanctuary if the main pool is too busy.

What is the resort fee?

Approximately $80/night. It covers wifi, fitness classes, and beach service.

Sfaturi de Insider

  • Walk down to Aliso Beach (south of the resort) to 'Lost Pier Cafe' for a toes-in-the-sand breakfast burrito—way cheaper than room service.

  • La Sirena Grill in the shopping center across the street (South Laguna location) has incredible sustainable Mexican food for a fraction of resort prices.

  • The 'Treasure Island' public parking lot (Lot 7) is right there if you have guests visiting you who don't want to pay $75 valet.

5 lucruri pe care trebuie să le știi înainte să pleci

  • 💡The 'public' path is literally *in* the resort. You will be sunbathing while people walk their dogs 10 feet away.

  • 💡You can rent a fire pit at Lost Pier Cafe on the beach below for a fraction of the hotel's fire pit cost.

  • 💡The lobby lounge has a $100+ minimum spend for non-guests at peak times, but as a guest, you can grab the best seats for sunset without the hassle.

  • 💡The 'Horizon View' rooms often look at the pool or gardens more than the ocean.

  • 💡Security is polite but firm about keeping non-guests out of the hotel-exclusive areas, creating a weird 'us vs. them' vibe on the lawn.
