Hi all! Would you like to stay in the center of Stockholm, in a quiet area famous for its museums and modern art dotted around the area? Then the best choice is to stay at the famous af Chapman, a former cruise ship and building complex combined into a hotel complex. I always wanted to show beautiful Stockholm to my husband, I love this city very much! After several visits, I fell in love with Scandinavian design, one of my favorite cities! In September, at the beginning of the golden autumn, we planned to go to in Stockholm, which is famous for expensive housing. We started looking for accommodation in the center with an excellent price / quality ratio and, of course, in order to save money, we found a room without canceling the reservation. I also asked my friend who lives in Stockholm to look for the possibility of renting a guest room (these are in residential complexes with residents of Stockholm). As a result, we managed to book a pretty hotel on the island of Skeppsholmen and a guest room in the Old Town. I did not want to give up the opportunity to live in Gamlastan, as a result, the room on the museum island remains empty. I hope it finds an owner and you will have a great time in Stockholm and love it as much as I do!

Hotel's story

Located on Skeppsholmen island in Stockholm, this STF hostel is split between a late 1800s ship called Af Chapman and former navy barracks called Hantverkshuset. Moderna Museum and East Asia Museum within walking distance. Guest can choose from guest rooms or ship cabins. The guest rooms located in the main building feature large windows, high ceiling and views of the water or park. Some of the ship cabins have a small sitting area and a small window with a city view. Both options include access to shared bathroom facilities. Guests can enjoy a traditional Swedish breakfast buffet. The on-site café serves light meals. There is also a shared kitchen where guests can prepare own meals. During June to August, guests can relax on the sun deck on Af Chapman. The Östasiatiska Museet Bus Stop is 492 feet from the hostel. Kungsträdgården Metro Station is 10 minutes’ walk from STF af Chapman & Skeppsholmen. Important Information: Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19), additional safety and sanitation measures are in effect at this property. From October 1, 2021 to April 30, 2024, the Ship af Chapman is closed for renovation. Guests are welcome to book their stay as usual in the Craftsmen’s building, Hantverkshuset.
