Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

Book this if You want a peaceful, golf-course vibe that's a 10-minute walk from Disney Springs nightlife but far from the chaotic theme park energy.

Why People Love It

8.932 reviews
  • Walkable access to Disney Springs dining and shopping
  • Sprawling, quiet grounds that feel like a legitimate break from the parks
  • Newly renovated rooms with smart Murphy beds instead of lumpy sleeper sofas

Quick Take: It's a massive, spread-out condo complex that happens to be on Disney property—great for adults, exhausting for parents pushing strollers to the bus stop.

Reviewed by @brittneynaylorI stayed in this massive villa and having a full kitchen was a total lifesaver for our family trip. The resort grounds are super peaceful, and being able to walk right over to Disney Springs for dinner made our evenings so easy. Definitely request a room near the Paddock Pool!

Guest Who Stayed Here Said

The hype

Travelers love the renovated rooms and proximity to Disney Springs but consistently complain about the internal bus loop taking forever.

Reality check

The 'Springs' section is the most convenient but is the LAST bus stop, meaning buses are often full by the time they reach you during peak hours.

  • You plan to spend your evenings eating and drinking at Disney Springs
  • You have a car (parking is free for guests again)
  • You prefer a quiet, pastoral atmosphere over in-your-face Disney characters

Cleanliness & Maintenance

8.5
  • Housekeeping: Generally reliable 'light' service for DVC stays (trash/towel), full cleaning every 4th day. Staff are responsive to requests.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Renovated bathrooms are sleek and easy to clean. Occasional complaints about grout discoloration in older units or Treehouses.
  • Maintenance: Solid. The 2021 renovation fixed most wear-and-tear issues. Watch out for rusting AC vents in some ground-floor units.
  • Linens & towels: Standard Disney quality—clean but not luxury. Murphy beds have surprisingly comfortable mattresses.
  • Odors & scents: Fresh and neutral. The 'musty' smell of the old carpeted rooms is largely gone post-renovation.

  • You can walk to Disney Springs, but there is also a boat launch near the Carriage House.

  • Grocery delivery order (villas have kitchenettes/kitchens)

Room Genie

Best picks

  • Congress Park (Buildings 1101-1401) for the shortest walk to Disney Springs
  • The Grandstand (Buildings 8101-8501) for being the FIRST bus stop (guaranteed seat)

Rooms to avoid

  • The Carousel section (furthest from everything, no feature pool)
  • The Springs section if you rely on buses (last stop, often full)
  • Treehouse Villas until 2027 due to active construction

Room Request Genie – copy & paste

I respectfully request a room in The Grandstand section (buildings 8101-8501) to be close to the first bus stop. If unavailable, Congress Park is our second choice for Disney Springs access.

FAQ & Hidden tips

Everything you actually want to know before you book.

Is the spa actually open?

No. Senses Spa is currently closed ('temporarily unavailable') with reports suggesting it may not reopen soon. The fitness center remains open 24/7.

How long is the walk to Disney Springs?

From Congress Park, it's a breezy 5-10 minutes. From the Carousel or Grandstand sections, it's a 20+ minute trek or a bus ride.

Does the resort have elevators?

Yes, all main buildings have elevators. However, the Treehouse Villas do NOT have elevators.

Which pool is best for kids?

The Paddock Pool is arguably better than the main High Rock Spring pool—it has a huge slide, a great splash pad, and better food options.

Can I walk to Epcot?

No. It looks close on a map, but there is no walking path. You must take a bus or drive.

Are the rooms renovated?

Yes, the main resort rooms were fully renovated around 2021 with hard floors and Murphy beds. Treehouse Villas are being renovated now (2025-2027).

Insider Tips

  • If staying in 'The Springs' (main building area), walk over to the 'Paddock' bus stop to catch the bus. The Springs is the last stop and buses are often full.

  • The Paddock Grill serves a breakfast croissant sandwich that rivals many table-service spots.

  • Request a room near the walkway in Congress Park to have a 'back door' entrance to Disney Springs near the Marketplace.

5 things to know before you go

  • 💡The 'Spa' in the hotel name is a ghost town—it's closed indefinitely.

  • 💡The internal bus loop has 5 stops; if you get on at The Grandstand (1st stop), you will tour the entire resort for 15 minutes before leaving for a park.

  • 💡The Carousel section is a 'dead zone'—no pool, far from food, and feels isolated.

  • 💡You can take a boat to Disney Springs, but the line is often slower than just walking from Congress Park.

  • 💡The gym is actually one of the best on Disney property because it was built to support the (now closed) spa.
