Park Hyatt Dubai

Book this if You want a silent, sprawling Mediterranean resort vibe that feels a world away from the Dubai skyscraper chaos, but is actually just 10 minutes from the airport.

Why People Love It

9.1848 reviews
  • The 'resort within a city' feel—low-rise, whitewashed buildings amidst a golf course
  • The 100-meter infinity lagoon beach with imported white sand
  • Breakfast at Brasserie du Park is consistently rated as one of Dubai's best spreads

Quick Take: It’s an aging beauty currently getting a facelift, so you’re trading modern crispness for old-money charm and a bit of construction noise.

Reviewed by @dfmarinI felt like royalty staying here. The architecture is stunning, but the best part was watching the sunset over the creek from the promenade. It’s so peaceful compared to downtown Dubai—truly a hidden gem for relaxing.

Guest Who Stayed Here Said

The hype

A tranquil, classy escape that feels like Spain or Greece, with exceptional service and food.

Reality check

The unrenovated rooms are showing their age with scuffed furniture, worn carpets, and a lack of bedside power outlets.

  • You are a golfer (direct access to Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club)
  • You hate elevators and high-rises (this is a sprawling low-rise property)
  • You are on a layover and want luxury just 10 minutes from DXB

Cleanliness & Maintenance

8.5
  • Housekeeping: Generally excellent twice-daily service, though some reports of missed dust in corners.
  • Bathroom hygiene: Clean, but grout and sealant in older rooms can show age/discoloration.
  • Maintenance: The biggest issue. Reports of peeling paint, scuffed baseboards, and damp patches in unrenovated blocks.
  • Linens & towels: High quality, crisp white linens and plush towels.
  • Odors & scents: Lobby smells of a custom signature fragrance (Blaise Mautin style), but rooms can have a lingering musty/damp smell.

Before you book

Good to know

  • The 'Lagoon' is a man-made infinity pool with sand, not the actual creek (which you can't swim in)
  • Water in rooms has been upgraded to Evian glass bottles
  • Late check-out is strictly enforced or charged (approx. AED 450-550 for extension until evening)

What to pack

  • Golf clubs (or rent them there)
  • Earplugs (for the planes if you're sensitive)
  • Smart casual evening wear (Dubai dress codes apply in restaurants)

Room Genie

Best picks

  • Block 4 (Al Porto side) for the quietest stay away from construction
  • Park Suites in Block 3 for Marina views and minimal noise
  • Ground floor rooms for direct garden/creek access (but less privacy)

Rooms to avoid

  • Blocks 1 and 2 (currently closed/construction zone)
  • Rooms directly facing Twiggy's Beach Club if you hate bass-heavy lounge music during the day

I am aware of the renovations in Blocks 1 and 2. Please assign us a room in Block 4 (Al Porto side) or a quiet upper-floor room in Block 3 to minimize construction and beach club noise.

FAQ & Hidden tips

Everything you actually want to know before you book.

Is the construction really that bad?

It affects the adult 'Twiggy' lagoon area the most. If you stay in Block 4 and use the family lagoon, you might not even notice it.

Can I walk to the beach?

There is no ocean beach. The hotel has a stunning man-made 'Lagoon Beach' with real sand that feeds into an infinity pool overlooking the creek.

Is it good for families?

Yes, the new 'Al Porto' family lagoon has a splash pad and sand, making it great for kids, separate from the adult party vibe at Twiggy's.

How much is breakfast?

The buffet at Brasserie du Park costs approximately AED 180 per person and is widely considered excellent.

Is there a shuttle to the mall?

No dedicated free shuttle to Dubai Mall. You will need to rely on taxis or Uber (approx. AED 40-60 one way).

Can I hear the planes?

Yes. You are minutes from the runway. Most guests tune it out or enjoy the view, but it is audible outdoors.

Insider Tips

  • Request a room in Block 4 to be as far as possible from the renovation noise in Blocks 1 & 2.

  • The 'Thai Kitchen' restaurant is an institution—book a table on the terrace for sunset.

  • Use the 'Dubai Ferry' from the nearby station for a cheap, scenic ride to the Marina.

5 things to know before you go

  • 💡The rooms can smell musty/damp due to the humidity and older AC systems.

  • 💡You can't actually swim in the Dubai Creek; you look at it from the pool.

  • 💡The 'adults-only' pool area (Twiggy) is effectively a beach club with paid entry for outsiders, so it gets busy and loud.

  • 💡There are virtually no power outlets next to the bed in the unrenovated rooms.

  • 💡The walk from the lobby to the furthest rooms (Block 4) is long—ask for a buggy if you have luggage.
